comfy, adjustable great mic quality.
bought this in around 2020, its currently 2025 and it still works great, i wanted to upgrade my headset cuz if you put the volume on full and ur using voice chat it echos like your friends voices or the game but sometimes i use it for my advantage like a speaker when im cleaning or something. But I have been complimented on the mic quality since the first day I got it and i lost the mic muffler puff thingy and it still works perfectly fine so im sticking with this headset til it doesnt work anymore lol. highly reccommend as a beginner 2 in 1 mic and volume headset.

Fantastic Sound and Comfort for Gamers
The Razer BlackShark V2 X Gaming Headset has been amazing so far. The 7.1 surround sound provides an immersive audio experience, and the 50mm drivers deliver crisp, clear sound with deep bass. The headset is lightweight and comfortable, even during long gaming sessions. The mic works great for communication, and everything about it feels high-quality. Overall, I’m very happy with this purchase, and the delivery was fast and efficient.

Good for the price.
The headset overall is good, and there are pros and cons. The headset sounds great not too low quality and not the best quality on the market but it's good for it's price. It's a budget headset so don't raise your expectations.Pros :Sounds good. It has good bass and great quality, as I said not the best in the market but maybe best for it's price.Useful buttons. There is a volume control thingy in the left ear, and a mic mute button.Really good mic. Speaking of mic, this may be the best budget headset mic i've ever tried. It has great sound quality, people can hear you clearly and without much background noise.Cons :Hard to use. When you purchase a headset you would think that you would open the box and plug the headset and you're set, but this doesn't apply on this headset. First of all you have to download a software (which is pretty normal for headsets). But then you need to download another software for "7.1 surrond sound" which doesn't sound pretty good. And download ANOTHER software but now called "THX spatial audio". All of that just to "Get the full potential of the headset". But that's not even the worst part, you need to pay for these. So you have paid for the headset, now pay for the features that are already equipped with the headset. Not a very good move form razer.Get's loose. After a while of using the mic and moving it for a little bit it gets loose and easy to fall or change the position you put it in.Overall good headset but you need to watch out for the points I made.

Amazing value for the price
Was looking for a budget headset and these did not disappoint.Sound quality is good, not the worst ones razer have. Cushions are comfy and don't get hot, the clamping force is perfect. It also isolates outside sound pretty well to the point where you won't realize how loud you are talking. The mic sound is decent and the pop filter works. Build quality is actually surprising good, not incredibly bulky and heavy, the length adjuster is sturdy and the headband can stretch. Some cons are that it doesn't connect with synapse, and you also can't rotate the cups horizontally. Also the green cable really stands out if your setup theme isn't green. You can't ask for much more for the price though.

Better gaming headsets out there for less money and stress
You'd think that Razer, a company this well known in the gaming industry would have at least gotten basic user experience done right, but no.Open the box, take out the headset, connect it to your laptop, and you'd expect to be able to just go to Razer's web site to download the app to enable the surround sound and get it working in minutes, but that's not how it works.Razer's web site wasn't even working properly, with elements not showing correctly on MS Edge or Google Chrome. Then I find out that I cannot download the app - I need to register for an account first, which requires the product serial number. And to get that, you'd need to remove the earpads to get to it. And good luck trying to get those earpads back on. Go check Youtube to see what an absolute hassle it is to get them refitted.Assuming you manage to get that far without giving up hope, you'd finally be able to download and install the app. So now you have Surround 7.1 of sorts working, but every time you disconnect the headset and reconnect it, you need to go back into the app to reenable the correct mode to have the headset working correctly.I would NOT recommend this headset to anyone. If you have purchased it and it's on the way, schedule a return and find something else like a Logitech gaming headset. If you're thinking of buying this, don't. It's not worth the hassle.
