DeoxIT D5S-6 Spray, More Than A Contact Cleaner, 142g, Low-Med-High Valve, Pack of 1

The product does what the producer and friends of mine claim it does. It cleans electrical components and accessories on the spot. I use it for model railroading, and it is golden for keeping roller bearings clean and springs springing. The only complaint I have is the straw for the nozzle. It does not fit the nozzle, plain and simple. There is a video here, in which the manufacturer demonstrates to just cut the end of the nozzle with a razor blade, and then it will fit-Not. Tried that, trimming with the razor blade made the fit no better. I called the manufacturer, CAIG, for a replacement straw-they sent it. But still the same, the replacement does not fit the nozzle, either. Without the straw, that makes precision control impossible, unless you spray the product into a needle bottle (my only solution). They must have had a kazillion of these stars made overseas (I can guess where), and all of them our likely out of spec.

Started using this DeoxIT D5S-6 on my guitar pedals and it works pretty well. i like how easy it is to spray and get into those tricky spots. it’s helped reduce crackling noises during my recordings and seems to protect the contacts nicely. been keeping it in my kit for quick fixes when on tour.

This spray was very effective in getting rid of weak intermittent connections in the mode control of my stereo receiver. This can will probably last forever, you dont need to use much at all, just be sure to shield surrounding electronics and circuitry so that only your work target is treated. It completely got rid of the disconnects and it works fine now. Be sure to go on Utube and learn about your own receiver on the inside so you know what you are doing and how to get access to the oxidized potentiometers and switches.

Just tried this deoxIT spray at work when dealing with some audio equipment. it sprays on smoothly and really helps clean those stubborn contacts. i especially like how versatile it is with the low, medium, and high valve options. it's nice to have a product that works well on different types of connections and keeps everything functioning smoothly 🎧. definitely a helpful item to keep in the toolbox or for troubleshooting during projects. glad i gave it a shot!

Great for electronics, cleaned the pots in 3 of my guitars. Great for rust removal. Got the bolts off my brakes in 3 sprays and a couple minutes when nothing else worked even soaking overnight. Also used on my fishing reels.

This deoxIT D5S-6 spray is pretty useful for keeping my electronics in good shape. i use it often at work to clean guitar pedals and connectors, and it works well without any fuss. the pack is small but lasts quite a while and the low-med-high valve makes it easy to get just the right amount. can't complain about the quality and ease of use. 😊

Had a crackling POT in my As-100 Emotiva amp. It cleaned and lubed it perfectly. Great product!

Used this as part of my cleaning process when the Smart Junction Box in my daughter's Mustang stopped working. I could mechanically clean the connectors on the circuit board; I used this to clean the cable connectors.

Worth the investment. I took apart my Quest 3 controller and sprayed a dap of Deoxit inside the joystick potentiometer. Not only does it clean out debris and fix my drift but it also give the plastics an oil lubricant layer to prevent future wear
