It works well but I made an error in what was needed for this purchase
Startech always rules the competition. I did not need this DP port in the end, i.e. as I needed active.

Worked perfectly!
Got a new TCL Roku TV to use as a monitor for my old mac mini. Using HDMI to HDMI, the text looked awful in MacOS. Bought this after doing some research. Thunderbolt (mini displayport) to HDMI and a couple tweaks and now it looks awesome again! This works as advertised.

I've purchased other mini Display Port to HDMI adapters that work but you may have to unplug and re-plug several times before it does., I was being a cheapskate. The StarTech adapter works the first time every time. If you need to add an additional monitor to your iMac via the Thunberbolt 2 port, this is the adapter you need. I have many StarTech products and never had a problem with any of them. So when I needed something I knew would work I bought the StarTech.

Top Quality Gear.
Works as expected. Final piece of the puzzle for getting my new laptop to recognize two external monitors. Much better build quality that the box store alternatives.

Be Aware...This will not work on anything but a Mac. The plug is shaped different than the plug on my PC. (Wacom recommended, saying it would work on PC also. It doesn't)

Picture perfect.
Used this to add a second monitor to my iMac (late 2015). No extra adaptor required, plugged right into my second monitor’s HDMI socket and worked immediately. Nice thick cable so I imagine it’ll last.

Lo uso para una MacBook Air, tenia otros dos convertidores de MiniDisplay port a HDMI pero ninguno de los dos funcionaba correctamente, tenia interferencia o simplemente se ponía el monitor en negro aleatoriamente. Este cable me funciono a la primera y hasta ahora sin fallas.
