It wants to be good, it really does. However even at only $10 it's let down by terrible analog stick mapping internally.
*EDIT* I returned both. You are welcome China. I fixed one for you so that you can sell it again. I DID end up trying these with a shooter. (Bioshock infinite) Holy heck these are absolutely unusable. You can't even play something as simple as Minecraft with these or you will fall right into the nearest lava instantly. The sticks are just that bad. The d-pad and buttons are great though, so again if you want a cheap controller for that go for it.*END EDIT*These controllers are no good. I bought two, one didn't have enough solder on the potentiometer for left and right on the left stick to function. I took it apart and fixed that. Only the center lead is fully soldered on all collective eight pots in my controllers. On top of that, the A button loves to stick on both. This can be fixed by taking it apart and better aligning the shells. Not a deal breaker. For $10 neither of these are a deal breaker for me as I repair electronics. However, the real killer is that even if you get one with no physical defects, they have the literal WORST analog mapping I have ever experienced in any controller. That is, you simply CANNOT make any precision movements with these sticks. Even looking at the raw data coming from the controller shows erratic jumpy movements. From zero to one hundred percent in any direction happens in about 20% of the physical range of the stick. The first quarter of the tilt is ignored, then suddenly it shoots to max, and the rest is also ignored. The sticks feel in your game like you are playing with a D-pad that has tourettes syndrome. This is not a joke nor is it an exaggeration. Now for the pros, because there are pros! It seems to have a fairly beefy lithium cell in it, it has dual rumbles both light and rough, it comes with a nice padded bag and a very nice micro USB cable that seems to have solid copper conductors as it stays in any shape you bend it. This is good as that means it can carry a lot of current when used to charge a phone or other device. It (the cable) also has a blue LED that turns red when charging. Another REALLY nice thing is that when you plug the controller into a windows PC it shows up as "gamepad" which can be configured manually for almost any game. The X and the A red LEDs will be lit on the controller. The cool part is that if you hold the power button (blue W) until the controller cycles off and back on, the red LEDs will change to X and D and it will then show up as an actual "Xbox 360 controller for windows" which is automatically recognized and configured by almost every game. Right out of the box, plug and play. That's not even mentioning the bluetooth features. 360 mode (Which should work on a real 360 too!) does not work through bluetooth though, that's not possible. Now to help anyone who is yet perplexed by this thing with pairing;Out of the box if you press the blue W button it will light up and the red A LED will flash quickly. The controller is now on, and in bluetooth pairing mode. You can now search for it with your phone or computer. You don't need to do anything more complicated than that.If you power on the controller again it will try to sync back to the last device it was paired with and the A light will be flashing slowly. To pair it to something else hold the X button down when powering it up. This will result in the A LED flashing rapidly again. You can also hold B or A for different light combos on the controller between D, A, or D and A at the same time. I believe that these are modes to pair to multiple devices at once. You cannot use the XD mode (xbox controller driver) through bluetooth.Anyway the build quality is actually pretty good. If you get a working one and can tolerate the horrible analog mapping it feels like it should last a while. That said my triggers are squeaky sticky on slow movements, one clicks, (spring) the sticks move a bit chunky, and over all it's nothing like a real microsoft controller. It does however handily beat touch screen controls for emulators. The D-pad is anything but precise, but gets the job done. It feels like a cross between a Sega Genesis and an original 360 pad. Not as bad as the 360 though.I wanted to like this controller, and for the price it can still be considered pretty nice. However I really can't recommend it. The sticks are just so bad. I don't think you could get through any classic (tough) platformers with this. I don't dare try a match of HALO or anything that requires aiming either. It feels fairly okay playing Phantasy Star Online on my phone with Reicast Dreamcast emulator. That game has chunky controls so you almost can't tell anything is up. Almost. Sonic Adventure 2 is near impossible though. Can't land on any rails and you always fly off the course! If anyone wants more info about the controller let me know. I can make videos of the stick response. I can also help you if you get a broken one.

Worth the ten bucks, just not more.
For the money I don't think you can beat this. It's not built like a first-party console controller, but then I didn't expect it to be. It pairs easily (the instructions are online. Just Google it). It controls all the games i play regularly (Asphalt 8, Riptide 2, Leo's fortune) perfectly well.I've had no problem with the analog sticks. Again, not the best construction, but responsive and lag-free.If you temper your expectations and understand you get what you pay for, this controller is well worth the ten bucks I paid for it.

No directions, complicated to setup
Didn't come with instructions and not easy to figure out. Got it in pairing mode by pressing the power and a button. How did I figure that out? I was getting pretty frustrated and was trying everything. Has led light x d and a. I have no idea what they stand for. Power and x gets the light labeled a to blink in pairing mode. Power and a will get the lights labeled a and d to blink on pairing mode. Power and b will get the light labeled d to blink. So I don't know what the difference is, guess they are different features which might be cool if I knew what they were. The worst part is the a button sticks. Directions and a button that doesn't stick you would have 5 stars. Like the usb cord and pouch and can't beat the price.
