the resin works, but it smells really bad especially in an enclosed space. it is hard to cure with just an UV light . in the sun it will become unworkable within about a minute. I tried two versions of this product one was a pink color, useful for table tops and such but not casting.also it took a couple of days for the smell to go away. I would say if you are a hobbyists or anyone else for that matter use indoors only with a fume hood.

Solarez gloss resin is a easy to apply for surfboard dings and repairs. This product has a fast cure time ( UV or direct sun light ) and the gloss shine sets up to the point I don't have to spend so much time polishing it . The only thing I wish they would put on the bottle label is a table of minutes for the amount of time to spread the resin based on temperature and humidity . example 5min at 80F , 15 min at 60F . At 80F the resin in 5 minutes does not self level , unless you cut it with a extender before you start .Plus the turn around time from ordering and receiving the product was great .

When you think "bar top" you think of a clear finish. So far the tests I have perform with this product leave the surface hazy and slightly deformed. It is winter now and finding clear sunny days is not easy. I'll try it again in Spring. If it performs I will revise my rating, if not I will let it stand.

It's pink. It cures pink. Very pink.

I've been using this product on pool cues for a couple of years now and overall it's less expensive, easier to use, and just as durable as the best automotive clearcoats on the market. Plus, I no longer have to spend time measuring, mixing, and pouring the product, or spend time setting up and then cleaning up the spray equipment. This resin does have an odor to it, but it's no worse than the other clearcoat options, plus, the odor goes away quicker than the other clearcoats I've used. I have noticed that the product does start out looking pink, but after curing and wet sanding, it has always come out very clear and glossy.
