Nice and secure
The folks at K&M must've read one of the previous reviews that suggested putting a star washer in the hinge joint because the one I received came with them. Together with the plenty-large (approx. 5/8") knobs, this rack stays tight and keeps the harmonica nice and secure and in a comfortable playing position. At least for me, and at least for now. And I don't foresee having any troubles with it in my lifetime.FYI, I'm what you might call a mediocre amateur who plays Neil Young and Bob Dylan style harmonica while also playing guitar for my own enjoyment and for my friends (you'd have to ask them if they enjoy it too!). I don't know, maybe if you play blues style you might put more pressure on the rack while playing. I wouldn't know, but this thing works great for me. Worlds better than the old piece of junk I had for 40 years before this one. I really like the design of the hinge joint. It has a piece of Delrin, or similar plastic, that serves as an anchor for the fixed end of the spring that holds the harp, which extends down to the hinge joint where it forms a "Y" with the steel part, and the piece that goes around your neck gets sandwiched between the two along with the star washer to form a non-slip joint.(I can't make heads nor tails of this description on re-reading, so I guess I'd better include a photo to show you what I mean.)The only two things I can think of as negatives are:1 - I find it difficult to change from one harmonica to another while wearing the rack, which can be annoying since it seems like every song I know is in a different key and I end up changing harmonicas a lot between songs. This is mostly because of the strong spring tension that holds the harp securely though, so I can't really complain about it.2 - The little beard-hairs just below my lower lip get caught between the harmonica and the rack once in a while, like when I try to change harmonicas without removing the rack from around my neck. OUCH! But it shouldn't be a problem unless you're a scraggly old aging hippie like I am.I just got this contraption yesterday though, and these minor annoyances might well resolve themselves with a little experience. They don't rise to the level of taking stars away from my rating anyway.Bottom line is that this thing does just what it's supposed to do for me and is comfortable to boot. I wouldn't hesitate to buy it again.

Works for me
Solid build, holds the harmonica stable and works for me. Only improvement would be some padding or felt tape where the harp sits. Mine get all scratched up. Its also a bit short which makes it hard to use standing.

Best holder I found
Great product, but the best part is that sometimes things don’t work out perfectly and maybe something‘s broken. That was the case with my purchase. One of the springs broke, not to any fault of mine. I let the vendor know and they replaced it right away. And now I have a perfect harmonica holder, which I love it’s got some really good ability to adjust just the way that you want it and it locks tight.

The best I’ve used
It works !!! Unlike the most expensive hohner which fell apart or the cheap off shore ones , which also ruin d several harmonicas fromThe pressure exerted on the metal … k and m are mostly pretty good stuff . Their guitar stands and mic stands are in my possession . The pressure on this holder seems just about right . I have way way too many harmonicas of all keys , German Japanese etc … need something that doesn’t crap out or ruin the harps …

Slips way as you play
This is a well made holder. Really loved the padding that prevents scratches to the instrument. However the adjusting screws did not securely keep the harmonica in place. So as I played I had to keep leaning my neck forward as the the positioning slipped. I have read in some reviews that players have been able to do work arounds and improve the functioning of today's holders by adding supplemental washers from hardware stores, but I was not able to get that to work. Really did like the comfort of the circular adjustment bolts, but the position did not lock in place sufficiently. I could not fully evaluate whether the bars that the harmonica rests between would have stayed snug through a whole song as the holder drifted out and away from me well before that could have been noticed. However, the wide seating bar blocked line of sight for any glance toward the guitar neck during play. So, had potential, but didn't work for me.

Nice fit and stays in place well
This harp brace is so much nicer than my old one. Has rubber on the neck yoke which helps to keep it in place while playing. The fit is nicer too, as it holds the harmonica a little closer to the face so I’m not having to make adjustments after I’ve got it set. Just a slight pull and it’s in a good position to play, and a slight push out to keep my lips from bumping against the harp while not in use. I keep the left knob a little tighter than the right knob, which keeps it snug but still adjustable in small increments. Love it!
