Don’t let the size fool you, these little flashlights come in handy more than you’d think. I originally bought them to put in flight crew gift bags, but ended up keeping a few for myself. They’re small enough to fit in your pocket, handbag, or even a backpack, but still bright enough for everyday use or when you suddenly need light. The light works well for things like looking under the couch, walking through a dark hallway, or during a blackout. I even tried it from my window and could still see the light below, but it’s better for close use than long distance. They’re the kind of thing you don’t think about until you need one and then you’re glad you have it. They’re made of aluminum, so they feel durable but still lightweight. I’ve dropped mine a few times and haven’t had any issues. Each one takes 3 AAA batteries, which is the only downside, but mine came with batteries already installed. Just make sure to remove the small plastic tab before using them.

We purchased this box of 30 flashlights with batteries installed for the homeless shelter. Glad they were installed as I didn't want to have to do it. As everyone *should* know, cheap items come with cheap batteries, so we also purchased some Energizer batteries from a warehouse club to donate at the same time. At the same time we purchased these EverBrite 30-Pack Mini Flashlight Set, Aluminum LED Handheld Torches with Lanyard, Assorted Colors, 90 Batteries Included for $31.99, we purchased FASTPRO 20-Pack 100 Lumen Super Bright Aluminum LED Flashlights Set, with AAA Dry Batteries Included and Pre-Installed for $20.15. Bothe purchases were from Amazon. Both flashlights are equally bright, and neither seems better than the other with only one exception. These Everbrite flashlights have a longer lanyard that will fit over an adult hand. The Fastpro lights have a lanyard that allows it to hang, but it would not fit an adult hand. These small lights are great for convenience to have a light anywhere you'll need it without have to spend a fortune. I would definitely not expect this light to provide much more than 100 lumens, and that's with new batteries. It's not one that I'd recommend for Sasquatch hunting, working on a vehicle at night, finding your way home for miles in the dark, defense against an attacker, or for long time use. These small lights are better suited for finding things quickly in the dark, especially when you don't want to awaken someone else, making shadows on the wall, using for quick light for fear of the dark, stowing in a purse, pocket or backpack, reading under the covers, or as we are using them: for those who do not have access to easy electricity at night and are at the mercy of the night. We have much larger quality and stronger flashlight in our vehicles. The box of flashlights arrived without an outer bag or box, it was retaped and a 2nd label applied. We ship and receive enough to know that it was probably sent without outer tape around all sides and came open on a belt during shipping. The box was a nice one that closed easily, so someone may have assumed it wouldn't need more tape or an outer box. Companies that ship need to add tape or add a tyvek envelope at the least. Our box of 30 was a box of 20. Amazon's automated process made exchange easy, however we now have an added stop on the way to the shelter to drop the return at the the UPS store and have only the other box of flashlights that we purchased to compare to these. The shelter sees about 70 people a day and we wanted to have enough flashlights for everyone who needed one. This isn't a reflection on the flashlights, but hopefully the seller or Amazon will see this and rectify the way they ship these. My 4 star rating is not because this is a bad purchase, it's a good light for it's class, an average small flashlight that I would purchase again if I needed to.

Item arrived on time, well-packaged, with batteries included. There's a card that instructs you on how unscrew the bottom and remove a piece of red plastic to protect the batteries. Then you screw the bottom back. I removed the red piece from all 30 flashlights and all 30 work great. The light is bright, too. These will be gifts for Scouts at a ceremony, and I think they will really like them. There is also information inside on how to contact customer service if there are any issues, and a small brochure on their other products, which look very nice. This seller has their act together! I am very pleased with this purchase.
