Q: Does it have to be staked into grass? Can you use on concrete?

It comes with stakes to hold it down in grass if it's windy. I have used it several times and didn't use the stakes. I worked out to be an excellent product. I guess you could use it on concrete, but you would need a fake golf hitting mat so you don't ruin your clubs.

Q: Indoor use, how far away from a wall does it need to be placed without damaging the wall?

I do not know---this would be a great question for the manufacturer. If I was pressed to guess, I would say 5 feet from wall if well secured so the momentum doesn't carry the whole frame into your wall. Obviously an infinished area or garage would be ideal and have less potential for damage to the wall.

No need to be staked and therefore could be used on concrete.
