I use these for work for engraving metal tags. They have a good tip and engrave well.

Works ok for light jobs. If you need a heavier etching, it probably isn't the one for you.

This little guy is bad ass. I used it to engrave some wrenches and some other tools.. Worked like a champ. 10/10 would recommend.

Good quality works well for basic things

It works better on softer surfaces but struggles with consistency. The cordless design is convenient, but the battery drains quickly, limiting its use for larger projects. Additionally, the build quality feels less durable than expected. It’s adequate for occasional, light-duty tasks, but not reliable for more demanding projects. Overall, it’s a basic tool with limitations, better suited for beginners or very simple engraving needs.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:It died on me immediately and even after replacing the batteries the motor gave out immediately and stopped working. Absolute garbage.

This is a great buy! It's lightweight, comfortable and easy to use. I traced out these images onto a slate trivet and then used the engraving pen to do the etching. At first, I just scratched the surface, then I "dug a little deeper" and really left an imprint. I was very surprised at how well this worked. The unit does not get hot while working with it and even though you have to keep the button depressed while engraving, it doesn't get tiring. I realized that my image lines were a little too close together to achieve the depth of engraving that I wanted, but the learning curve is very easy. The slate did not have a smooth surface, so there are areas where the curves are a little messy, but for a first run, I'm happy with the results. I also used it to etch a metal casing on a portable charger; I have not tried it on glass. The battery life seems to be very good as well. I would definitely recommend this product.
