I use this to record electric guitar through an HT1R (1 watt) Blackstar combo amp, in an isolation box. Works exactly as it should, and the ability to hang it off the amp is a bonus too - no need for mic stand.

I got two of these mics when they were on sale from Amazon Japan for around AU$185 each, and they sound great on most things I've put them in front of. They work well on guitar of course, but I was surprised by how well they worked for voice. One of my favourite uses for them is to combine one of them with an SM57 -- the 906 has a more neutral sound, while the SM57 gives more bite to the upper mids, and you can blend them together to taste.

Ce micro est excellent pour l’usage pour lequel il est prévu. je sonorise une guitare basse et une guitare électrique. Le son est excellent et l’inst§allation du micro simplissime. Je le suspend depuis le haut de chaque ampli, collé contre la grille et légèrement décentré par rapport au HP. Aucun effet larsen, aucun son parasite. Ravi de mon achat !
