Use f100s and spray it in openings in the pot body while rotating the knob back and forth several times, then test for noise. Repeat the process for persistently noisy pots. You can clean the pot first with good electronic contact cleaner spray before using f100s, worked in most cases.

I haven't checked how long it takes to dry up (and if it ever does), but since it is oil based and is not a dry lubricant, you would have an oil film after the initial de-oxidation step which occurs immediately as you apply it. Your best recourse is to wipe the surface clean after the oxidation removal step is over and the sizzling stops.

Will this work on corroded 35 pin junction connector?

If it is so pitted the metal is missing , i doubt it , however , it's worth a shot . I have salvaged several connectors I thought were beyond repair . it also works good on computer and tv cables , so it wont go to waste .
