I first saw ezpz products when I was pregnant on a trip to San Francisco and we bought home a mini mat and a happy mat for future use. It was kinda expensive but cute and seemed to give us some good options when our little one was born and began weaning.Jump ahead a couple of years and I jumped at the chance to get this for my toddler who is a messy 19 month old exploring food and messy play. This mini play mat is perfect with its suction base - by this age my son has figured out how to release these types of mats but it does stay put for more time than without! It comes with 6 compartments - one larger and 5 smaller which are perfect for snacks. With this mat, I can also see how versatile it will be for using with art and craft items - not only for him but for me too so it's a win win! I do agree, price wise, it is on the expensive side but I love the quality and versatility and this would make a fab gift. The great thing is that they are also portable, clean well and seem extremely durable.It comes in 2 different colours currently - slate and cream so I would have liked a more range of choice as other items in the ezpz range - maybe they will filter through in the future! They look great and do a fab job. They are expensive but certainly worth it and make such a great gift and at £19.99 at time of reviewing, they aren't much more that other branded sets I've seen and are so versatile, I can highly recommend.

Our daughter is weaning and we need mats that will stick to the highchair table as she likes to hit things off. We have a similar bowl to this that isn't segmented, and this is a nice design for multiple foods, but for purées it's a bit tall.Pros:- Lots of slots for different foods: ideal for keeping little one engaged with a variety of tastes, textures, colours and shapes- Cute flower design with a nice dark colour- Sticks to table securely (honestly, a baby isn't getting this off by themselves)- Easy to wipe clean- Branding is lovely: would make a great giftCons:- The segments are quite tall and aren't domed, so it's a bit harder for my 7 month old daughter to see what she's doing if it's puréed foodRegardless of the con, it hasn't really effected me using it and it does encourage you to try different things, although if you're using mashed up food it is harder for your baby to actually see as the segments are deep and not curved, so manoeuvring a spoon is a bit more difficult for younger babies (also the petals are quite small for spoon usage too).For baby-led weaning and bits and bobs it's great. It'll come more in handy when she's having more finger foods, but it's still usable at the moment and I really rate this brand for their quality, sticky baby mats. She's still sticking her hands in and making a good old mess and it's really good for her sensory development putting different textures in too.So I would certainly recommend it - it's a great quality product and great for both baby and parent. Just bear in mind it may be better for serving finger food or aimed slightly towards more experienced babies, or you can use it for messy play too - food or paint! Great item.

This silicone container is versatile and good for a multitude of uses. I decided to order it for my great nephew who is just learning how to feed himself. The suction of this mat works well so that it does not slip even if a little child plunges his hands into 2 compartments at the same time to fish out munchies. Each compartment is just the right size for baby helpings of food. I can see it would also be good for sorting beads and jewellery findings and components. It is easy to clean and washes up well in the dishwasher. Perhaps the only issue I have with it is the price, which I find a bit too steep. There are other comparable products that function just as well and are far more competitively priced. For me, that price has cost this product a star.
