As a busy sports mom, this was one of the best investments I made. I used it every weekend, and sometimes weekdays, for over a year. And for as much as we used it, it was very durable. I withstood Texas heat and rainstorms, dirt, rock, mud...whatever, you name it and we put this umbrella through it all to make it through long days/nights at the field for my son's baseball and football games. Also used it for beach days and lakes, and it was great. After over a year, yes there is some wear and tear, but for as much as we used it, it was great. My favorite things about it were the ease to set up, and folding it up like a chair, and carrying it around. My 2nd fav was the fact that it has an easy folding stand to hold it up. I would feel bad for parents when I saw their arms getting tired from holding their rain umbrellas during games, and I was hands-free. Lastly, I loved the cup holders and hooks so I was able to hang my purse, bags, phone, etc. All in all, I love this umbrella and am ready to buy another one for the next sports season.

I bought this to use at soccer games over the summer and I love how easy it is to set up and take down. I have used both the tripod stand and the sand screw and both are holding up well after repeated use on the soccer field (and being tossed into the back of my car). I think next time I will pay closer attention to the dimensions of the umbrella since this one is rather small and only offers sufficient coverage for one when the sun is high.UPDATE : I have had, and used, the umbrella for over a year now and it is still in great shape. the cover/case is a little worn, but hasn't ripped so all is good!UPDATE 2 : It has been two years since I purchased this umbrella and I am still highly impressed with it's sturdiness. The cover, unfortunately is long gone. Like all umbrella and chair covers, it ripped through and was of no use. I have since put it in an old chair cover and while I miss the exterior pocket for holding the stakes and cup holders, I make due without.The umbrella has been used in wind (blown inside out and still functions well), rain and sun - at soccer parks and beaches - on dirt, concrete, grass and in the sand. It has also been used in the cold to keep heat (from a portable heater) contained in small areas at outdoor soccer games. It is always in the back of my trunk and tossed around with the chairs (it has out lived all of them) ... the only visible damage ... the red of the umbrella is faded, the trim on it has come loose in some places, and there is a rip (3 inches) along one of the support rods. The tripod base itself has one leg that bends slightly and manually needs to be dropped in order to set up but all else is in great working condition.My one and only complaint remains that it is a little small, but even that we've learned to work around

I bought this to use at home, on my deck and in my yard. I am aware that it is a portable model meant to bring to parks, events, the beach, etc., but this is perfect for me at home. I live alone, have a small sized deck, and I also like to sit in various places around the yard. I wanted something that I could move easily for shade when I sit in the yard and read. A large, heavy patio model really wouldn't work for that so this seemed like an ideal choice. So far I love it! It is exactly as I expected and I'll be using this all summer long.I feel that what I got for what I paid is totally proportionate. The material is admittedly thin, but that's to be expected for the low price. There is a manufacturing flaw on mine, the seam around one of the edge-flaps was sewn incorrectly and re-sewn, so it's a little messy on that one flap. But it's sewn okay now, so I don't really care. The material, while thin, has the colored exterior (red in my case) and then the inside of the fabric is a reflective silver-gray which I think helps a lot with the sun-blocking and keeping it cool underneath. It is on the small side, 5 feet is smaller than it seems when reading about it and to be clear it's 5 feet for the TOTAL diameter while open. My deck chair, which is bigger than a portable lawn chair doesn't fit entirely under it if I sit beside the pole. But I can position it better by tucking a leg under my chair or moving it where needed depending on where the sun is. So it's not big, but for my use it's fine. Bigger would be heavier and more awkward to move. With it being smaller I can easily pick it up and move it to a new spot without closing the top or the legs. It still sits firmly in place however and hasn't blown over yet.It was super easy to assemble, if that's even the word for it. Open the legs, set that part down, then stick in the umbrella pole, lock it into place and that's it. It sits on my deck evenly and seems very stable. It has a vented top to prevent the wind from blowing it away, although I keep it closed when not in use, but leave it out on the deck. The hooks and cup holders are surprisingly handy. The cup holders have netted bottoms to dry out quickly if wet. Since I use this at home my regular coffee mug doesn't fit in the cup holder of course but it would be perfect for water bottles or cans. I use them to stick my reading glasses in and a pen or whatever small items I have with me. I haven't used it in very windy conditions yet but I am thinking that hanging towels or a beach bag from the hooks would help weigh it down if wind is an issue. Haven't tried it but it seems logical.It comes with a nice rugged carrying case with an exterior pocket for the smaller parts like the hooks and cup holders. The whole thing in the case is not very heavy and would be easy to bring along to wherever, beach, park, events. I really like that it sets up like a patio-style umbrella but is taken down and easily stored in the bag. I don't have much storage space, so this will be great when I take it down for the season. It probably won't last terribly long with the way I am using it daily at home, but the price was right and it serves my purpose. I have no reason not to recommend this unless you have very high standards and want a high quality umbrella in which case you should expect to spend much more. I think this is a great and inexpensive way to get fast and portable shade!

Two years since purchase and I just had to write a review. This is the BEST umbrella I’ve ever owned (out of dozens). You can use it on a solid surface or the beach. We live at a campground by the beach. It always gets packed at the pool and umbrellas are gone early. EVERYONE asks about this umbrella when they see my family and I lounging. On an angle, it covers two chairs with shade. I’m about to purchase the bigger size directly from Wondershade. 10/10

Best purchase for camping, car shows, the beach (even when windy!) and any summer event! I love how easy it is to stake it in the ground for stability. The tilt is awesome and we love the hooks and cup holders. It's everything you need in one very portable piece of equipment.

Great product

I love this umbrella! I have grandchildren that are in all different sports right now it’s baseball and softball and we have had some rain showers and this has been great to protect us while a little rain shower coming in and a game delay. Absolutely love it and recommend it.
