Pro's: Great design! Seems like art as much as function in an every day thing. Adds pleasing element to beverages. Con's Volume varies from cup to cup. If you like REALLY hot beverage, you'll miss the handle. Hand-washing is recommended. Following what I believe is the Japanese approach to drinking tea; if it's too hot to hold, it's too hot to drink. (Please correct me if that idea comes from elsewhere.) I'm a huge fan handle-less cups for coffee and tea so I have no problem with the fact that there is no functioning handle on this or any of the other mugs in the series (except the fox, cat and squirrel but I'd argue none is a handle per-se). All the mugs are delicate porcelain with unglazed surface on the outside so the texture feels warm and soft (for porcelain) and a glazed surface on the inside so they are easy to clean. They all are the same color and basic shape varying in size (height and diameter and thus volume) and design (animal silhouette and tail shape). Set out on a table after dinner for example, the collection looks similar enough to be completely cohesive while varying enough to be REALLY interesting without looking chaotic or like a train-wreck. I've listed the volume and hand-washing things as cons but neither are to me. I take no umbrage from short-pouring beverage in a cup so that everyone (or just myself, for that matter) gets a specific volume and I don't mind hand-washing special things. In fact, I like both points and consider that they add to the artistic, ritual feeling of tea or coffee. This review is based on us having four of these mugs (thus far): Cat, bear, fawn and rabbit.

In Kombination mit den anderen beiden Tassen Eichhörnchen und Igel einfach ein Traum! Würde ich immer wieder kaufen. Absolute Kaufempfehlung!

De la belle vaisselle, de qualité, originale, et qui fait son effet à chaque fois. J'aime énormément et complèterait sans aucun doute la collection.

Habe dies Tasse in verschiedenen Tieren, verwende sie als Teelicht die in einer Gruppe sehr schön aussehen und eine angenehme Atmosphäre schaffen.

Ich fand das Aussehen der Tasse sehr schön und habe sie deshalb bestellt. Leider muss ich feststellen, dass sich die Tasse merkwürdig anfühlt. Ich mag das Gefühl nicht, die Tasse anzufassen, deshalb ist sie leider nicht in Gebrauch, sondern steht nur im Schrank. Würde ich nicht unbedingt empfehlen.
