Good replacement or new installation A/C
So I bought this unit to install in my 25 year old coach because the basement A/C quit and getting it out to replace/repair would require a to high a cost for as old as my coach is. So I opted to replace the roof vent in the center of the coach with this Rec Pro unit. This unit is as quiet as the say! My iPhone decibel meter registered 58 on the low fan speed and 65 on the highest speed and cools my 36" coach no problem. Installation was pretty straight forward once I ran a 20A power line to the location. The Manual that comes with the unit could be better, but there are a few DIY videos out there to help guide the installation. Getting the unit up to the roof is a job for more than one, (or my 74 year old body is just no longer up to to it) But the result is a nice quiet unit withe updated tech. - Now, lets see how long it lasts! But for now it's 5 stars!!!!!

Great addition!
Installed this unit on 5/18/25. Installation was really easy, the unit came packaged very well, able to cool and heat without issue. It is quieter than most, and the ductless vents are adjustable with good air flow. This was a new addition to my RV as a second unit. I am already planning on buying another to replace my main unit.I enjoy the remote, and the fact no low-voltage wiring needs to be run. I would like to see an option to integrate the controls with other systems, maybe a WiFi connection with some API for custom builds and phone controls/monitoring, but have been very happy with this unit so far.I’ll post back in a year or so after it’s been field tested more.

Awesome heat pump!
An excellent unit! I installed it on a 40 ft school bus that's being converted to a rv. One single 15,000 BTU unit is keeping it cool and comfortable at outdoor temperatures in the low 90's. I plan on chasing fair weather and not hanging out in 95° plus temperatures so it's great for me. My only complaints are the temperature on the unit and remote only read the set temp, not the actual room temp. My second is not being able to adjust the air flow front to rear. 2 small issues to me, but they keep it from being almost perfect. Installation is super easy once you get it up on the roof.

Quiet AND SO COLD!
10 out of 10 recommend!Arrived quickly and customer service was SUPER quick to respond and resolve shipping issues. My husband and I installed ourselves and aside from getting the unit on the roof -- it was a BREEZE! Literally 4 bolts and a plug.Unit comes with everything you need but sealant. We will be purchasing a duct unit to replace our main unit next.

Seems to work as described.
Received in timely manner. The cover is cracked exactly as others described and pictured in their reviews. Unit was able to be raised to the roof using 2 folks. Once installed in the 14x14 vent fans old slot the roof was too thick so the bolts were exactly short and would not work as others mentioned. So had to go hunting for bolts. Had to use bolt extensions and engineer a working solution. ( please include longer bolts as we can always cut to size so long is better ). Our rv a Thor quantum, was not designed for being able to run or use a 115 volt wire, everything was metal and welded closed. So had to run the wiring to the roof through the AC roof gasket and bolt it to the outside ( more unwanted holes to be made)This project took nearly three days to instal due to all the trips. However, so far i like the unit. I will most likely get another one when the main original unit decides to croak. Be advised, this unit weighs over 100 lbs so you definitely will need help or lifting equipment to get it onto your RV roof. It turned cooler here before we it used the first time but our RV would get unbearably hot when over 80F outside and this additional unit helped keep us comfortable in the mid 90’s outside so it works for what we needed. Note the unit has plenty of air flow. It also came with everything including the seal gasket. I also love the wireless remote and not needing to wire a thermostat

recpro 15,000btu ac with heat pump ducted
the 1st problem was it wouldnt turn on so after taking old unit down and installing this unit i had to take it back down and put old 1 back on roof all while its hitting 130 in the shade here in arizona. finally got it to power on during bench test/troubleshooting so again take old down put new up and after all that the old unit blew harder and cooler than this new upgraded unit. i realize that there is always 1 bad seed in the bunch occasionally but for 1500 bucks and good reviews i guess i expected it to work far better than it does. the fan on high barely reaches the bedroom . sure its quiet compared to old unit but i need it to function correct versus being quieter. whats the point if it isnt producing cool air from all vents. old unit is 13,500btu new is 15,000btu and new so whats the problem. now my dilema is do i take this back down still 125+ here or do i eat 1500 bucks . with so much involved just to be able to haul my 5thwheel to shop to do the work its not worth it either way i go. so dissapointed and wore out over this. i dont think its acceptable when ac is on high for it to still be 110 inside the rv but that is what its been hitting everyday since i put this in and its been running nonstop since except when the coil gets too hot during hot point of day it shuts off compressor but keeps fan running. this thing has ended up costing way more than the initial 1500 to purchase when you factor in the trips to shop and taking time off work to try and get this done . really bummed about this whole situation i put myself in by purchasing this unit. if i decide to send it back it will be for a refund not replacement as i cant chance going through this again . it might not be so bad if i didnt live in my rv fulltime so that makes the frustration of this much worse than if i didnt live in it fulltime. no i dont believe i would recommend buying from them after what i am dealing with. hate to give bad reviews but felt i need to share my experience . The pic is actual temp inside trailer and the trouble code that keeps coming up . This has been nothing short of a nightmare. I wish I wouldn't have let the Recpro customer service talk me into giving it a 2nd chance.
