I didn't realise until I unpacked it that it had an American plug and works on 120v. Is that safe?

I was extremely disappointed in this warming tray. I only used it about six times before it stopped working. Unless you live in the USA don't bother buying it. It was bloody expensive to return. Not happy Jan (you would have to live in Australia to appreciate that comment).
