I LOVE this fencing I have a chubby cat who unlike other cats. She can’t jump !! So this is tall enough that she wouldn’t dream of jumping it. I love it bcz I live in a manufactured home so I have one of these that stays up all the time between my shed & the house next door. Then I have this one which I bought the set then the extra pack of two which as you can see made it the perfect length to go between my picket fence & again up to my neighbors home. If I go out I put it off to the side but other wise on nice days in Arizona. I leave the patio door open enough she can get out & roam around the patio & garden in the back. She gets more exercise now bcz instead of sleeping on the bed all day she roams around outside & walks back & forth it’s wonderful but she is protected from other animals they can’t get in & she can’t get out. She has been SO happy since I did this & added a whole SAFE outdoor world for her. I would never let her just roam anywhere & possible get in cat fights or hit by a car. She is safe but yet enjoying the outdoors. It’s wonderful. I highly recommend this if you have a small dog or a fat or older cat that can’t jump anymore

terrific playpen, well made. unfortunately, I had to return mine as my puppy is a Houdini, climbed out as soon as we put it together even though my puppy was 4 lb at that time. good quality though, wish I could use it.

We ordered this add on for our 10 week old boxer pup. He out grew the original 4 panel pen in two weeks. This allows him plenty of romp room and allows us some sanity. He learned he could jump the 24” panels the first week and we were worried it meant using this was over but since then he doesn’t even try. He loves his little play pen and even sleeps in here. He walks in on his own accord no problem. We have started crate training for the nights and when we leave the home but he still prefers the pen to hang out in. Since he’s still biting at 14 weeks, this gives us and our older dog a much needed break. Our trainer thought this was a great idea. The one side is against a wall but the other add on joint is a little flimsy. It doesn’t rigidly stand up when he stands at the side. This is where he learned there was enough give to jump over. We just put a small end table up against the joint to hold it up securely. We are planning a road trip and the easy break down and assembly means this will be going too. It will protect the home we are staying in from puppy damage. We use the brown washable whelping mats to protect the floors and they are slightly larger so they can anchor under the sides but he busily redecorates so they don’t always end up in place. Honestly, I don’t know how we would have made it this far without this pen!

We purchased the four panel pen when the two Yorkies were very small and I was not sure how our old Llasa Apso would accept them. They were just the right height for me to bend over and too small for the other dogs to try jumping in. But as they grew we decided the added panels would be nice when we were outside. We live in a very rural mountainous area of Kentucky. Coyotes and mountain lions are not unheard of here, so these tiny puppies still cannot be let out to play without supervision. If I can just go sit they will play close to where I am, if I am gardening and paying them no attention with all the toys in the world they still fuss and I usually put them in the house. For what it was designed for, the extra panels make great sense. It gives the dogs more room to move around when they cannot be free, but the smaller size is great for their security feeling for sleeping. Thankfully they are very easy to put up and take apart. It is very sturdily made and if I needed another I would certainly not hesitate to buy. However these have the appearance and usage that suggests they will never need to be replaced. I would think they would be great for breeders when they are showing pups to those who want to buy one.

I like the IRIS exercise panels better than the metal playpen I got for my dog. The panels are plastic so they can be used outside without rusting. Originally I used them inside when potty training my puppy. When the other pen rusted I began using The IRIS pen outside. They work both indoors and outdoors and the panels are sturdy. The panels have some empty spots on the backs of them that get grass clippings and dust stuck inside so those spots are hard to keep clean. I wish those spots were solid plastic. I think if I had a pressure washer it would be easier to keep them clean but a small brush and hose work ok. However the grass does stain the white panels. I don't like the poles at all. The caps on the top of each pole pop off or crack and fall off. They began coming off right after purchase while they were being used inside on a tile floor. Even when the tops are glued back onto the poles with super glue they don't stay on. I tried a couple different glue types but none worked. Once the pole top is off the pole goes all the way into the top connectors on the panels. This makes it really hard to pull the poles out to separate the panels. If you lift the 2 panels up then the pole will fall through. The fact that they fall through makes it hard to carry them with any of the pairs preassembled. The poles are pointed on the ends but they can't be pushed into the ground because they're too short to do so once they're connecting the panels. Once the top is off the pole there is nothing to hold onto to push the pole into the ground because the top of the pole is hidden inside the connecting panel pieces. *** I ~really~ wish the poles were longer so they could be pushed into the ground and still not break the tops off. *** It would also be really helpful if the tops of the poles were more secure. Once the top is off the metal pole begins to rust. I'm pretty sure they begin holding water because they're hollow and have a closed point at the bottom. While you can buy the pen with gate panels for the dog there isn't an easy way for a person to get into the pen without removing a pole and separating the panels. This would work ok if the poles didn't get stuck because the tops popped off. I wish there was a panel with a door that an adult could use. Overall I think the IRIS exercise pen is worth it because the panels are good quality and it has worked for my needs. I think with some improvements to the poles it would be an incredible product!

The additional panels are great with the regular iris 34” playpen. I use it outside to block the dogs in the front yard so they don’t attack the mailman when we are hanging out on the deck. Very sturdy and durable during the rain.
