Any reason why the blue one costs so much more than the green?
Speed control of the new products, right?
I'm trying to decide which color V-Tech walker to buy. Which is prettier or more colorful, contrasty to the eyes: blue/red; or orange/green?
Are the wheels hard plastic? I have hardwood floors and would worry about hard plastic wheels slipping on it.

What Fun!
I just ordered two of these at a great price through Amazon's "Deal of the Day" and couldn't be happier over what I received!I ordered two so that my 10-month old grandson could have one at his house and one here where he spends a great deal of time throughout the week. He isn't able to walk on his own yet, but after placing him behind the VTech - Sit-to-Stand Learning Walker for the first time, he took off like a pro! He makes a bee-line through two adjoining rooms safely and confidently with an expression of sheer joy over his new-found mobility and I know it won't be long before he's skirting obstacles with his new set of wheels! He prefers to play with the light and sound panel while it is attached to the walker but I like that it is easily detached for taking on car rides and such.Note that the walkers that I received are not exactly the same as illustrated here on the product page, but rather appear to be an improved model which came as an unexpected surprise! The best improvement is that the rear wheels can be adjusted to two different speed settings to offer resistance to help slow things down so my grandson can easily keep up, whether on carpeted or hard flooring. Another added safety feature is a narrow rubber banding around the circumference of these same set of wheels for better grip on hard flooring. These two features address the concerns that I had read about in a number of reviews; it's great to know that the manufacturer is listening to consumers' desires and making improvements accordingly!Another difference I noticed is that the center of the three shape/color features at the top of the light and sound panel are numbers (1-3) rather than fruit - Counting fun -Nice!The sound & light panel has different settings found in two switches: Off/Learning/Music and low/high volume for desired control. An aside fun feature that won't likely be noticed until my Grand is older is that when a song is playing, say 'Old MacDonald', the tempo speeds up as you spin the gear mechanism faster (unexpected action/reaction)The peek-a-boo door is my Grand's preferred activity at this point, when not heading for the hills pushing the walker, that is. He says "peek" every time, which has been one of his all time favorite games right along anyway. Another of the few words he uses so far at this tender age, is "play" and with this neat toy he can play and play, and play!I cannot speak to the durability of this great little activity center/walker yet as we have only had it in operation for a couple of days, but wow! -As is, it offers a load of action/reaction fun time for my little one, along with a new sense of freedom... and a breather for Grandma now and again as he continues to play independently when Grandma has had enough 'floor time'. I highly recommend this toy for anyone considering one. Fun!

Excellent walker! Lifesaver when our LO was learning to walk.
The media could not be loaded. Lifesaver when our LO was learning to walk. Functional, bought it for our LO last fall to learn how to walk and for one of all the sounds. Over a year later he still uses it just to push something around. This toy was used inside and then transitioned to outside in late spring all the way through this fall. He pushed it around on our long concrete driveway and it was very useful in helping him strengthen legs as he pushed at a slight hill back up. I am surprised to report that with all that dragging on the concrete, the wheels, while scratched up and with visible wear are still in tact and holding up. At this point he is running with it :) This walker is actually two toys and It does come apart so the front "noisemaker" piece, comes off and can be used and carried around separately. We loved this feature, because as we spent more time outdoors and took this walker with us to the yard and for all walks. It was used in the sprinkling weather and was left outside a lot. The front interactive piece stayed in the house or in the car as it went on trips with us and still looks great. While the walker part is all roughed up and faded (which is to be expected if you leave it outdoors through rain and shine)One downfall of this item is the phone receiver, it just hangs there, not attached by anything, so at this point it's lost. We don't know where it is, so it would be nice to have it attached perhaps. Also I'd like to add that bigger wheels would be nice as this walker will not go on the grass, even if you keep it cut low. Our LO got increasingly frustrated when he tried to get on the grass with it. But I am not taking any stars for it since I was aware that this toy was meant to be more of an indoor toy and we used it outdoors at our own discretion. The video is older from when he first started walking and the photos are taken now to show all the wear and tare and abuse this toy took and is still used by our 19 mo old every day.

Better than Fisher Price Products
I've read a few of the positive and negative reviews for this item and after receiving it, i think many of the negative reviews are probably written by VTech's competitors. Some people were complaining about the sound....there's an on/off button...if you don't like it, turn it off...there's also a high/low sound button, which makes this product better than many on the market. My 7 month daughter loves this toy! Though the educational portion is alittle advanced for her (age recommendation is 9-36 months) she loves the colors, lights, music and the things that can be done (buttons to press, doors to open, etc)I like the way it sits up so a infant/toddler isn't slouching over to play. The play pad is detachable as well so if you don't like the pivot, you can take it out and lay it flat. The many functions on this piece teaches everything from cause/action to shapes, numbers, music, colors, to feel, etc. This toy has it all!I read a comment where someone was complaining about the phone....the phone doesn't have a cord to prevent strangulation. For the baby to be able to put the phone to her ear, it would have to be long enough and therefore a strangulation hazard.Someone else commented on the wheels....The wheels have two options, slow and fast. It also has a rubber banding to grip the floor. This is a great, thought out product!!! I highly recommend it over many fisher price (over priced) toys. If you are on the fence of whether to get it, go out and get it! It's a great toy that will grow with your infant. It's well worth the price. The material and functionality is great and very well thought out.I am pretty picky when it comes to products for my baby and giving this toy a high rating is very deserving of the toy. I do think they can improve on the stability of the toy so an infant learning to walk can rely on it's sturdiness.
