Fantastic utility flipper!
The perfect utility flipper, everything about it is great. I have a few nicer utility razor knives, this is my first on the higher end of the flipping type. The fit and finish is amazing for this price point. First thing I did when I received it was take it completely apart, clean the oil off, learned how it all fit back together and oiled it with KPL. In taking it apart I came to appreciate just how well made it was, everything is in such close tolerance you have to seat the pivot and the rods perfectly to get it back together and that’s not a bad thing. The detent lockup makes the flip nice and strong to open completely every time. The quick change bar for the blade works great as well, I haven’t had any issues with Dewalt Carbides, Lenox Golds, Milwaukee, and a handful of other blades they all fit and hold nicely. Overall, I would highly recommend the TiRant V3 if you carry a utility knife daily, it’s thin, disappears in your pocket, and is big enough for a decent grip. I am already contemplating which model to get next.

Solidly crafted and will pay for itself in no time.
I don't typically leave reviews, but this knife warrants it. Between the quality build, packaging, documentation, and Youtube tutorials....it's clear alot of thought, care, and work was put into this thing. I am currently deployed to CENTAM and EDC Microtech knives, both here and at home. I realize Microtech may be a bit boujie for some, but they are outstanding knives. Expensive knives, even with the gov/mil pricing. Going with a utility knife never occurred to me until now. Yes, this is an expensive utility knife...but the blades are cheap, easily replaceable, and their sharpness beats absolutely any blade on the market. This thing is solid, it flicks open with authority, and it's titanium. Inside the box you have several spare parts that you wont need but are nice to have. Pro tip, to add flare to the body of the knife, disassemble it and hit it with a blow torch. Do a little experimenting as titanium oxidizes beautifully.

Worth every penny
The best pocket blade I've ever owned. Durable, light weight, and functional. Easy to use, safe to handle, lock is tight and secure, perfect size for EDC! Opening is smooth and grip is easy to hold.

Quality product, the "Ridge" of EDC knives. durable, light, compact and always sharp
The burning question... why would / should I pay this much for a boxcutter? The quick answer, this is a KNIFE not a boxcutter, its "form", "function" and some may dare to say "style". It's a small, light, well put together knife that is built to last and with replaceable blades will stay just as sharp as the day you bought it. Alright, welcome to another grumpy old man rant... What is the RAZOR? it is a locking, single edge knife. Built to last is an understatement. It's made from machined metal all around, while it's light, it's also really solid. It has the right weight and fits nicely in your hand. (I have big hands and my wife has small hands... we both find the blade knife comfortable). There are two versions of the belt clip, short and long as well as multiple handle finishes and you can swap out the standard key ring for a useful pry tool. You can go with one of the base builds (if you plan to use this AND display it) or you can up the ante with some black screws, carbon finishes and even etched blades to make this a real conversation piece. As far as the mechanics, the locking mechanism is solid, the opening hinge as well as the "button" have been designed to avoid accidentally opening the blade. (NOTE: for all you lefties, this is a righty knife. but as a fellow leftie... don't worry it's still almost completely ambidextrous for single handed opening and closing.) The frame houses the locking mechanism, belt clip, and key ring attachment, It's simple, rugged and is comfortable to hold. When open it feels like a full size knife not a compact one. but it's light weight makes it easy to operate with one hand for extended periods of time. The blade.... It's a standard utility knife blade (which are scary sharp) and replaceable... You don't need to worry about dulling and sharpening. This knife never gets dull because you can always replace the blade. If you break or chip the blade.. it just simple to swap out the damaged one for a new one (and the knife is good as new and really sharp) For those who like bullet points (see below) Selling points (pros) - slim design - the weight is just right - It's durable - simple operation - Replaceable blades - Customizable - as utilitarian or fancy as you want to make it. Old Man nitpicking items (cons) - Pricey - but you already know that. - The blade requires a tool to remove (included in the case - don't lose it) - It's almost too good looking - at the beginning you might find yourself not wanting use it.... at the heart this is "working" knife... It's supposed to be pretty and take a beating. - Lefties will have to get used to the closing mechanism but it's not problematic or dangerous (if you are a leftie you should be used to living in the righty world by now.. or you are too young to own this knife. Pesky kids! So to answer the question "why would I pay a premium for this knife." Because it's useful, it's something that you spent time researching, you know it's quality and the kicker.... Because you want it. Plain and simple. This is a "want" item. It checks all the boxes for quality and usefulness and if you have read all the way down to here, you know probably already know your answer. I purchased mine as a gift... for me and I'm very happy with that decision. I hope this help you make your decision.

Great work blade that disappears in your pocket.
I bought this knife because I open a lot of boxes at my job at my job. This is a wonderful knife for that application. It is lite weight I hardly notice this clipped in my pocket when not in use. The flipper tab works wonderful with a smooth action. It is fun to use. The design ensures a great amount of control and allows you to have a lot of control when in use. It locks up nice. the frame lock is easy to disengage. There was a about a month long waiting period for this knife. I understand that the back log for these knives is high. To make up for the long wait Josh from Exceed Designs included the pry-bar attachment with a note thanking me for my patience. Very nice extra for sure. It comes very well packaged with the extra screws and barrel spacer. I also received a sticker. This utility knife is quality. I know the price is a bit high but when I think of all the utility knives I have owned and used over the years this is definitely the best one I have bought. It is worth the price of entry. I showed it to my co-workers they thought it was very cool. Thank you Exceeds Designs for making a very high quality product. I like this so much I am thinking of getting the black version too. If you buy this utility knife it won't disappoint you.

You Will Love This Knife
I work in construction and my father in law gifted me the Gerber E.A.B LITE. If you’re looking for a very affordable everyday utility knife that you can be pretty rough with, the E.A.B LITE is a great little knife. My only gripe was that there is a screw you need to remove to swap out the blade. For Fathers’ Day, I wanted to upgrade my father in law’s Workpro EDC mini folding utility knife that he has been using. I went on a deep dive on utility blades with a few things in mind; quick change blade function and a smallish profile. I was between the Pichi G9, Tyrant Razor v3, and the WORKPRO premium titanium utility knife. After researching more the Pichi G9 seemed a little too small if you really wanted to bear down and have a good grip. I also read a review of someone’s experience with the other end of the blade coming out where your thumb would be when they were using the knife, which was a little concerning. The WORKPRO knife in comparison to the Exceed Designs Tyrant Razor v3 had a bulkier profile, was mainly not titanium even though it is listed as titanium, but was much more affordable at $30. However, It seemed like the WORKPRO knife was just a cheap knockoff of the Tyrant Razor v3. I ended up going with the Tyrant Razor v3 and couldn’t wait to give it to him as it has the best reviews on quality and also how the owner treats the customer. Safe to say, he loves the knife. It is the perfect size; 3.5” long when closed and about 6” when the blade is deployed. The width is 7/8” and thickness is about 3/8”. The quick change blade mechanism works flawlessly. The Exceed Designs knife actually is titanium and gives it a very nice weight and high end feel. It deploys smoothly and is really durable when you need to bear down and get a good grip. I was so impressed with the knife that I ordered my dad and I one as well. When ours arrived it came with a note from Josh (the owner) apologizing for the long processing time and that he upgraded the bearings free of charge due to the delay. I am thoroughly impressed with this product, but more so with the company. There’s not a lot of companies that care as much about customer satisfaction like Josh with Exceed Designs does. I will be a forever customer and look forward to purchasing different accessories and knives from them in the future. If you’re on the fence about this knife, don’t be. It’s a great product that you will be sure to love.

Supreme Quality Knife
I have carried a number of utility knives in the past where I simply did not feel like I possessed any real control when breaking down boxes or gripping the handle. It is common for these types of tools to feel "impetuous" in their design—made with a mindless repetition of cheap parts that doesn't really convey any meaning or longevity. This knife, however, is a departure from that air of foolishness. It is a premium, bone-quality tool that I expect to last a lifetime, and it has fundamentally changed my perspective on what a replaceable-blade knife can be. The Mechanism and Maintenance The flip action to deploy the blade is extremely smooth, possessing a sobriety of movement that is rare in this product category. Because I work in the septic business pumping tanks, there is a lot of grit from the hoses that inevitably falls into my pockets and clogs up the inner workings. Yet, I have never been at a point where I have been unable to clean the knife and return it to its original quality. If the friction ever reaches a point that feels sub-par, a little bit of oil brings it right back to brand new. Security and The Locking Bolt The locking mechanism is impeccable. When the blade is engaged, I do not fear it giving out or collapsing on my fingers—a fear that has haunted me with lesser brands. I can get a good, firm grip with either hand, and the knife stays seated in the palm with a sense of reverence for the task at hand. While the installation of the blade is a little bit tricky, the grasp the tool has on the razor once seated leaves me believing firmly in its safety. It is a process worth figuring out to ensure that every cut is taken captive. Pocket Retention and Build The clip that allows the knife to seat down in my pocket is deep and very firm. Only once has it ever come up at all, and even then, it remained attached to the fabric so I never lost the tool. This isn't a "free-for-all" design that slides around; it is a stable, weighted companion. Furthermore, the company behind this product is clearly not operating with an air of incoherence. I reached out with questions and they were gracious and clear, proving that they take a particular pride in their work. Final Verdict As someone who uses their tools heavily and daily, I would highly recommend this to anyone looking to give a lifelong gift. It is a product done right, rooted in the goodness of quality materials rather than a sense of fleeting convenience. It is a tool that allows you to walk through your workday with wisdom and a reliable edge.

1st impressions are AWSOME knife for the price
I typically don't post reviews, but I feel this product and company deserve it. I haven't gotten to carry and use this knife yet, but first impressions are this is a QUALITY knife at a steal of a price. I bought this knife to replace a Gerber EAB I've been carrying for a few years. I researched and watched almost every video on compact and folding utility knives there is. For a folding, TITANIUM utility knife, the TiRant can't be beat! I'm a gear and knife person and this knife feels as nice or nicer than some of my $100+ regular EDC knives. One of the features that of this knife that was a must for me was the tool-less blade change. The Gerber required removing a screw to flip or change the blade. While this makes the blade very secure, it takes longer to do. And if you loose the screw, the knife is useless. The deep carry pocket clip is another plus. Beyond the quality fit, finish, operation and excellent price, the thing that puts this knife over the top is the accessories the knife comes with. Packaging is quality and makes a nice presentation and storage. The knife comes with replacement screws and tool for every screw in the knife - including the main pivot screw. I know of no other manufacturer that does this. But wait, there's more! The knife comes with a lanyard loop installed and can be swapped for a pry-tool end included with the knife. Lasty, there are 10 replacement blades included in a sturdy plastic case that can be put in a pack or vehicle to have spare blades on hand at all times. This knife has 1 negative for me - it may have booted one of my expensive, full-sized folders from my EDC rotation due to limited pocket space! If your a knife person who appreciates quality gear and in the market for quality folding utility knife, look no further and purchase the TiRant!
