Used it to charge 60AH used car battery with 50 watt mono perc solar panel. It works perfectly. Recognises the battery capacity automatically. Default values that are preset in it makes it easy to use out of the box. For my system, we used this 60AH charge controller to charge our used car battery of 60AH capacity with the 50 watt mono perc solar panel. We used DC to AC converter of 200 watt that enables us to use fast mobile charger, laptop charger and all the other appliances that require less than 200 watt of power to run. First of all, The DC to AC converter is directly connected with +ve and -ve with battery terminals. Then the Battery is connected to battery points of Charge Controller. In the last, Solar panel is connected to panel points of the charge controller. This is the right order of connecting the system. Reverse order is followed to disconnect the system. First solar panel, then battery and then anything connected on the load points of the charge controller. If we connect +ve and -ve connections wrongly, the charge controller will not be damaged but it will not turn on. The build quality is good and heat sink at the back is robust. Display is good with ample information for the users. The detailed user manual gives all the information that users require. This charge controller is PWM based. The only difference in PWM and MPPT is that PWM takes from the solar panel the amount of voltage that is just slightly above the battery capacity requirement, whereas in MPPT, full volatge produced by the solar panel is retrieved and used. This charge controller works perfectly what it is supposed to do. Thank you AmiciSmart.
