TREE SPIDER 1007230 Venom Harness-Vest-300lbs Max Capacity

It's a good value product but the straps are a bit small and I expect would hurt by cutting into you in a fall. The metal buckles for the leg tend to make noise against everything, especially the rifle butt or stand/truck, or anything hanging down from a shoulder strap, etc. so stalking on the way to the stand is problematic. Everything seems made well enough to work and not break after a few uses. I used mine for about 12 climbs up 35ft tree. The main strap does get in the way of a hood or tall jacket collar and shoulder strap bags/gun sling, etc.so a drizzle or other weather where you'd use your hood or collar is a problem. So you have to figure out exactly how you're rigging your shoulder strap items on and off while getting up a tree and if you plan on taking things with you on the way up. It's a real problem to not be able to get into the stand 20+ ft up without disconnecting the rifle sling or your harness. I don't know if the other harnesses have a better attachment point, but it'd be nice to have optional mount points versus this one's fixed between the shoulders location. Also if you're walking with the harness on, you can slip the main strap and its carabiner under your chest straps, but it is another noise maker to worry about.The tension relief strap is a pain to take on and off every time you get in and out of it-just one more hassle slowing you down, especially if it falls out all over the place, which is much more likely when it's cold of course. If it's cold and you don't wear it to the stand (as it will tend to make noise and your back hot), then trying to get it on with gloves is a pain. Take off the gloves and you're hands get cold as you're trying to get into it, work the belly strap in and then snap the tension relief strap's two retaining straps. This has to be done Every single time you need to get in and out of it. YES IT gets VERY OLD!If you have the just a few $ more or if you're going to use it much I'd go with Hunter Safety System Bowhunter Harness, Large/X-Large It just looks much more comfortable if you actually leaning from tree or fall.I had to get this one due to a very short shipping window and just wish I'd spent a bit more although this one isn't bad, it's just not what you want to use the rest of your hunting days if you had the option of spending the cost of a sandwhich more for the better one.

Very comfortable and very easy to get on and off. I would definitely recommend this for anyone looking for a new harness.***Update***The spring in the carabiner has already broken, as most tend to. But, it still works safely and other than it rattling if not screwed down on my way to the tree stand, it's fine.

Was very impressed with this product. Very clear and accurate instuctions, ie, pictures for those of us that are visual learners. Easy to put on and remove. The best part for me was the ease of adjustment to the harness and the level of comfort it provided when I fitted it to myself. Ok I was wrong... The best part is the price!! it came with everything needed to be safe hanging around in tress.

It is a little heavy but seems well made the tether to the tree has a shock-absorbing thing in case you do fall you don't get a hard hit to leg buckles are made of metal and can be a little clunky and Loud out in the woods

Purchased for my husband. He has commented more than once this is a great harness. It is comfortable and very strong design/material that will last a long time. Bought it for my granddaughter, fits well. She's fearless but grand pa worries a bit when she uses a climber. Now we can both take to the trees like the hunting fools we are.

This item is perfect. I am a woman and it's been hard to find one that would fit right till now. This says its for a man but it fit me great.

When it comes to buying a harness for use in tree stands, you really have to choose a product that can handle the pressure and intensity you plan to put it through. My husband and I did a great deal of research before purchasing this tree stand harness. It exceeded our expectations and has held up well.

Outstanding product, easy to slip into, sturdy and strong build. Now I feel safe 20 feet up in a tree.
