This flashlight is pretty. Very pretty. It seems sturdy. My grandchild will like it. However. I have paid $11.00 for a cheap flashlight that does nothing special. My fault. I would be OK with the price because it's essentially a child's toy. However, the basic design is flawed. Two AA batteries reside in a very small and tight slot on the side of the flashlight. There is a teeny, tiny screw that holds the cover over the battery slot. The cover is not as long as the interior of the slot, so one of the batteries has to be inserted in the slot, then help in place against strong resistance while the second battery is forced in behind the first. I had to use a specialty screwdriver to remove the teeny, tiny screw in the cover over the battery slot. Then I had to enlist help from my husband to insert two AA batteries end to end inside the slot. It was not possible for me, and he had great difficulty. It shouldn't be difficult to insert and replace batteries. Perhaps it's a safety feature? I can't say. But I know that battery replacement will be equally difficult when the time comes. I feel foolish and irritated with myself for having bought this. I would have been better-served with a $1.00 flashlight from Wal-Mart. In fact, I already have four of them. They're great. I will give one of the Wal-Mart flashlights to my grandchild when the batteries in this overly expensive toy have failed.

I actually purchased 2 one for each of my younger Grand Daughters. The buttons are perfect for their little fingers and they love them and are able to use them. I’m extremely pleased with the flashlights. I love buying Melissa & Doug products they’ve never let This Nana down. 😊

Seems good so far, they redesigned it so the front unscrews and the batterys go under the flower head. I read the other reviews and lots of complaints with batteries not fitting. They definitely corrected that problem and my daughter loves her flashlight and it's not overly bright.

Gift for our 3 year old grand daughter she loves it

Only has an on/off button and the light is not bright at all. Definitely not worth the price.
