This dummy battery is a must for preserving your cameras battery life. My main use is streaming, creating content and chatting with friends.

Somewhat erratic and takes time to turn on the camera
This works on my A7CR and fits just fine. Gives the standard battery warning, but pretty much all non-Sony batteries and charging systems do - Sony is trying to make it harder for 3rd party vendors....But my issue is that it can take up to 60 seconds for the camera to turn on. I have a powerful 20kma charger and when hooked up it can take anywhere from a few seconds to up to a minute for the camera to come one.Once it does, it operates without issues.Using a USB wall charger, I have no problems, it turns on immediately.Just a FYI to users.

doesn't work with a6700
Tried with various USB battery packs and PCs but there's no power with a Sony a6700 camera that takes a NP-FZ100 Battery

Not as described. No barrel plug option.
The media could not be loaded. Both the pics and video show an adapter that goes to a dc barrel plug, with an additional adapter to usb-c. However what i received (see video) has no barrel plug and good directly to usb-c. Since i got it for the barrel plug I cannot use this.

Using this with my a6400 no issues so farIt works and easy to use .. unlike others this has no heat issues

Works Perfectly With Sony A7III & A7IV
As the headline states: Works Perfectly With Sony A7III & A7IVAs most Sony users know some Sony cameras can overheat during a video session, especially when shooting 4K. This Dummy battery does alleviate the over-heating issue. I did a quick test with a Sony A7IV. Shooting in 4K with a Sony battery the over-heating warning appeared around the 40 minute mark. After waiting a couple hours for the camera to cool down, I installed the dummy battery and shot 4K for over an hour with no over-heating warning. I stopped the test after that hour. This test was in an AC controlled room set to 78 degrees.When first turning the camera on the Battery Warning appeared and clicked "OK" and all the operations were fine.Take heed with the manufacturer's power recommendations! I used a 65w power bank that worked perfectly. There are wall chargers on the market that can run this setup. I also appreciate the use of USB-C as it's the standard and makes a very reliable connection.
