Wuloo Intercoms Wireless for Home 5280 Feet Range 10 Channel 3 Code, Wireless Intercom System for Home House Business Office, Room to Room Intercom, Home Communication System (4 Packs, White) In 2023 , this is still useful. I my home I'm tired of raising my voice to call the kids down for dinner -- or similar situations. Using IP based intercoms , like even Google Home broadcasting, isnt reliable if you're wifi is down , nor loud enough at times. This old school intercom system still works great. Gives fairly clear audio. Provided you don't max out the volume . I like to max out the volume and then back it off two notches. The system is dead simple to operate. You can talk to one node : "TALK" or ALL nodes: "Group" ... There isn't a way to group nodes to a custom group. Just broadcast to ALL or direct to One. Dead simple to program. Just assign each node as a unique channel. Press and hold a number. To talk to a specific intercom, press the intercom number and talk. It's basically walkie talkie style talking . One side can talk , other side listens. For group mode , just press group and talk. The form factor is a wedge so meant for sitting on a desktop . But I wished there was an optional wedge snap on so the form factwas flat. Having a flat form factor makes it nicer to mount on the wall. Having a permanent wedge makes it look silly on the wall. Overall I'm happy with his product. Keeps the yelling down in the house and makes old tech still usable in today's IP connected world.

I've tried a junkyard full of many different household intercoms over the years and none worked in our house, primarily because our house is long, on one level and our refrigerator along with other kitchen appliances apparently blocked the signal sent, which was not FM radio in any of them. I decided to take a flyer on this because it clearly states right on the unit that it is FM wireless. (Note there is a clone look-a-like unit also on Amazon which does not say on the unit that it is FM, nor could I find that in their narrative.) It works like a charm. I bought four to spread from one end of the house to the other and each is crystal clear with no interference whatsoever. The most challenging part is to pay attention to how to set it up and which buttons to push to talk. It will take at the most 3 minutes if you don't let your attention wander while reading the directions, which are clear. And after you've done that, even an Aardvark can do it because to talk to a particular intercom, there are only two buttons to push, the number for the intercom you want and the button that says TALK. If you want to talk to all the units at once (which is often if you cant divine which room the recipient is in), only one button is necessary. It says GROUP. You'll note in the description that the signal will go quite a way, to include you being able to hear others if they are also using one of the three frequencies you can choose (a,b or c), or vice versa. We live in a metropolitan area and have never had an issue. either way. Besides, how interesting can it be to hear "dinner's ready"!

Very simple system that is easy to use and works very well. The volume is adjustable, however I find the lowest setting still too loud. That's the only reason why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5

My mom and grandmother both have health issues that have worried the family for years. First, I gave them each a horn they could use to signal family for help. Next, I bought them a remote-controlled alarm that would make a loud sound on the speaker unit that's mounted downstairs. However, there is a problem with both solutions: they require people to be nearby to hear the alarms/sounds. When I visited a friend last month, I saw him having an intercom system installed throughout his house. He uses it to more quickly communicate with his kids without having to hunt them down (like, calling them down for dinner). That gave me an idea to adapt this system for my purpose, and I went ahead and purchased the same system, the Wuloo Intercoms. My goal was to install an intercom system throughout the whole house AND a weather-shielded one for the back yard in case we are outside and mom/grandma needs help. PROS - Loud and clear sound - Voice activated chat feature (VOX) - At $25 per unit, it is well priced - Additional units can be added to the system - Good signal range (up to 1 mile in an open area) --- Wall type and thickness lowers the effective range - Can be powered by USB with a portable battery bank (5V with 1A, though 2A works fine too) - Multiple channels (10) and codes (3) to minimize interference from other intercoms - Notifications are sent to each intercom --- Could be used to notify each unit without having to say anything (such as: it's time for dinner) - Monitoring mode for use as a temporary baby room monitor - Group mode to chat with a pre-programmed group of intercoms - Lifetime warranty - Detailed manual - Wall mounting option CONS - Unknown brand. Will company still be around to honor the lifetime warranty? TO USE - Select a code for all the intercom units (A, B, or C) --- It's best to use the same code for all units - Choose a channel for each unit --- The channel number will be the "phone number" for each device. You will call that device by pressing its number from the other units --- Assign the numbers as logically as possible so it's easier to remember which number goes to which room --- Create a list as needed and keep them near each intercom for quick reference - Keep the units at least 16' apart to minimize interference - Press the channel you want to call, then push and hold the TALK button to chat --- After 1 minute of inactivity, the channel number will go back to default MODES - In VOX mode (voice activation), the TALK button does NOT need to be pressed and held --- After 24 hours, you will have to activate VOX mode again --- To use, press the channel you want to enter VOX mode with, then push the VOX button. The channel number will flash blue --- Like a walkie talkie, wait about 3 seconds before each side replies. Both sides cannot speak at the same time --- If no voice is detected for 1 minute, VOX mode will stay active (up to the 24 hour limit), but defaults to the original channel number - In Monitor mode, the monitored side cannot speak. This is useful for listening to the baby room --- After 10 hours, this mode turns off. You will have to set it again to continue having the unit remain in Monitor mode - In Group mode, you can group multiple intercoms, even if they have a different code and channel --- Allows you to speak to all units within the group at the same time --- To use, push and hold the GROUP button to talk --- To program, check the manual as there are some codes you will have to enter TIPS - Each unit draws 5W of power --- With a 10,000 mAH battery bank, the unit can be in standby for up to 120 hours or 22 hours of continuous talk --- This could allow you to use the intercom system on a camping trip where each unit is placed near the tent. Be sure to keep it away from rain or heat! Overall, this system does not have any negatives I could find after 2 weeks of use. It is fairly easy to use, can be expanded to a larger number of units, and is portable for when we go travel and take my mom and/or grandma with us. I profusely thanked my friend for having introduced me to this system. It is giving us a little bit of additional peace of mind.
