Still by far my favorite garlic powder. This powder, unlike most other, just tastes like pure raw garlic...without the burn. It's great for cooking. I actually often use it on top of real garlic at the end of the cook just to add a bit more natural garlic flavors to the dish. I will not buy any other.

Spice Islands is a great product

I found this smoked paprika sweet and tasty, but it has a less pungent smokiness compared to Trader Joe's real made in Spain smoked paprika for example, that has a more intense depth of smokiness combined with less sweetness ! Spice Island is very useful when blended with other spices, such as Rosemary and Thyme in tomato based sauces to add complexity, without it being the dominant flavor note. When I used it with fresh Garlic,Harrissa or Gochujang seasonings, it's mild smokiness gets lost and doesn't break through their stronger complex umami flavor dominances. If you want prominent smokiness, similar sweetness and more depth of flavor I suggest sticking to most quality smoked in Spain paprika's, instead of this Spice Island globally 🌐 sourced but mildly smoked product. It has been reported by a major U.S. product testing organization, the globally sourced, then bottled 🧂 in USA , Spice Island smoked paprika doesn't contain lead. That information compared favorably to the majority of other smoked paprika's tested. The majority were found to have concerning levels of lead present, that's a big plus in Spice Island's smoked paprika's favor!

freshly packed spice, I've been dying to use so I have used it in a lot of things I've cooked l. the taste is smokey, a significant difference from regular paprika, good value for the $$.

So I've replaced most of my spices over the last 6 months. I really like this brand and I try to stick with it as much as I can. It's nice, high quality and it seems like it practically never goes stale. This is going to sound bad but I used one bottle of this for six or seven years before I decided to replace it and it was just as effective even as it got old. That's the beauty of Amazon. You can realize that you're running low on a certain spice and instead of making yourself a note and trying to remember to pick it up at the store the next time you go, you can instantly order it 24/7. I love love love Amazon. I am a Gen x and we grew up with no internet so I am still amazed at the convenience of the tools we have today. Amazon is my best friend. And unlike the young people that grew up having everything at their fingertips, I appreciate the convenience. Every time I place an order. It just seems amazing all over again LOL.

I cook a lot and love this smoked paprika. I use it on vegetables and meat. It gives a smokey taste to these items. It is very fresh, the color is good and the size is good.
