🎶 Girls just Wana have funnn 😂🎶
I'll be honest I like to have a drink or two and when my family gets together we do tend to drink and it seems like there is a birthday or event or whatever constantly happening and after almost a yr of missing everything (pregnant) it's really nice to be able to partake again. With that being said I purely breast feed and I can't risk not being able to feed my son. So I love these! I've tested them multiple times out of paranoia haha and Everytime they worked. I've basically got it down to knowing how much I can drink and for how long the alcohol will be in my system. When the strip is white after two /three minutes I know the alcohol is out of my milk. If it turns even the lightest amount of blue I know there is alcohol. Depending on how blue it is I'll also know how long to wait before testing it again. So it's definitely nice to have them on hand. Very much worth it. And simple to use. U don't even have to fill up a cup to test it. Just squeeze some out onto the strip, (enough to fully saturate it) and then wait to see if it turns blue .

Better than Frida
These test strips are a better price and give you more insight to your BAC compared to Frida Mom test strips. Love using these after enjoying a few drinks to make sure my daughter is safely fed!

100% recomendados!!

Easy to Read Results
After an evening of drinking I tested my freshly pumped breast milk and sure enough it detected the alcohol.

Horrible!!
I never write a review but after testing the accuracy of the strips I feel it’s so important to share with other nursing mothers that occasionally like to have a glass of wine and safely breastfeed, these strips are faulty! I was curious, I tested my milk after I had pumped later the next day from the night before after having a couple of glasses of wine and came out that there were traces of alcohol in my pumped milk which was odd because I didn’t have much to drink the night before and it was well over 15+ hrs since I had a drink. I got even more curious and dipped one in almond milk and the test came out positive!!! Horrible! Gave me so much anxiety that I gave my baby milk with alcohol in it but come to find out these were completely faulty! And the expiration dates were fine, I had read that others noticed some received them expired. I will not ever be purchasing these again and others shouldn’t as well!

Reliable but sometimes you have to wait more than 2-3 minutes for accurate results
I have used these QUITE a bit. Here is my consensus:To drink 1 drink (12 oz of beer at 6%-7% ABV) and test clear, you have to wait at least 2 hours after you have taken the last sip. I always check the time of my last sip and add at least 2 hours. Normally, it will be clear. Of course, this depends on how hydrated you are, how tall the glass was, how strong the alcohol was, if you are outside sweating or not, how much you’ve eaten, and lastly, how quickly or not your body metabolizes the alcohol. So many variables. This gets murkier when you have 2 drinks back to back. I only do this if I drink them back to back at 8pm after my baby has gone to bed. If you’ve had 2 drinks, after the last sip of your second drink, add at least 4 hours to when you can feed or pump again. The frustrating part: these don’t always detect the alcohol within the 2-3 minute testing period after you have waited your allotted time. Sometimes, if I have my 2 drinks at 8pm and I get up at midnight to pump, I will test, wait 2 minutes, initially, it’ll be clear. I will start pumping and 8 minutes into my pump, I have looked at the strip and there is a blue tint to it. My take on this is my body has almost completely metabolized the alcohol but there is still lingering alcohol in my milk and it’s so minimal that it’s almost undetectable. At that point, I will stop the pump and bag that milk and label it as alcohol and use it for baths. If you have 3 or more drinks, it would be best to chug some water before bed and sleep overnight before pumping or feeding. My rule of thumb is 2 hours per drink after I have taken the last sip of the drink. My drinks are always beer in a 12 oz can. If you have a pint (16oz of beer), you’ll have to wait longer than 2 hours after your last sip.To address the elephant in the room- I wish there were better recommendations on alcohol and breastfeeding. My lactation consultant said if you can drive, you can breastfeed. Some nurses I have spoke to have also said this. At the end of the day, my take on it is: I don’t want my baby to consume any alcohol from my body. I don’t want to impact the development of my baby’s brain by allowing her to consume alcohol I have chosen to drink.

Let the milk seperate
It is the most accurate when you leave the milk in the refrigerator for a few hours and allow it to seperate. Then test the milk through the layers for 10 seconds.
