Blue StarGrid Pattern Auto Lens Repair Kit (Red)

I bought this almost 2 years ago. I read other reviews that said that the adhesive wasn't very good, so I taped it on with clear packing tape instead. I just noticed that the tape was starting to lift, so I replaced the tape. The product itself was still in perfect condition after a year and ten months on my car with all kinds of weather conditions. I'm also surprised that the packing tape lasted that long.

Awesome patch. It is not a flimsy plastic sticker. This is a hard plastic but flexible. Use your brain and do not apply to curves. I cleaned the area with 99% isopropyl alcohol. If it starts to peel off as others complain probably because they did not clean the area, I will use adhesive or epoxy to stick it on. Can’t barely tell is there and it was a huge hole.

The sticky stuff was very weak. It began to peel very quickly, with in weeks it fell of my taillight. I do not recommend this for any use. Look elsewhere. You will definitely regret buying from this merchant.

Unfortunately I needed to cover a tail light lens with a curve . The repair strip did not like the curve and the adhesive would not adhere to the lens to be repaired. This repair lens would work great on a flat surface and maybe on a curve if a third or more of the repair lens would attach to a flat surface, in my case 1/2" of the repair lens was all I had after covering a curve and the adhesive would not stick.

Personally, I have a new favorite tail light repair kit!This kit made it so easy to fix my tail light. The hole was big, almost half the length of the tail light lens. I followed the directions and it was like magic! Abra-Cadabra and the hole was gone and brim just a couple feet away, you couldn’t even tell it was a repaired lens.Shortly after the repair I spent a couple weeks on the Bighorn Mountains. I was in sub zero weather with almost 20” of snow then came down to the foot hills where temperatures were in the 80’s for highs. I was in sloppy mud, rough rocky terrain, snow, swirling dust and the adhesive never budged!I recommend this product extremely high!
