It's easy to cover a large amount of content in little time given the format. Bullet points, clear headers and colorful diagrams making memorizing the content easier. Glad I came across this resource before my exams. Highly recommended for efficient and successful board review! This is one of the best review books for the anesthesia boards that I have tried. Very clearly written, succinct but amazingly has everything tested on the boards. ABA keywords are highlighted so you know the content is all relevant. It is like someone handing you the perfect set of notes for board review. Decent, but too many mistakes
Overall very concise summary of systems and commonly asked facts, but multiple mistakes in different chapters. Needs an edit, and customers should be sent the accurate copy as a replacement.

The renal chapter is particularly bad with numerous mistakes
Overall a helpful guide to the Basic Exam but has some major flaws. I used it to supplement my question bank and have one area to summarize my study notes. Pros: -concise summation of majority of topics on the exam that is reasonable to get through in a few weeks. -full color pictures/charts. -questions at the end of each chapter. Cons: -most chapters have at least one incorrect fact. The renal chapter is particularly bad with numerous mistakes. At least one of the anatomy pictures has an incorrect label. -some information is outdated such as BMI obesity classifications and endocarditis prophylaxis guidelines. -the bolded keywords haven’t kept up with the evolving list from the ABA.
