Bought this to replace a line-type trimmer which was driving me nuts. The line snapped 5-6 times every use and it was such a faff to keep sorting it, spent more time doing that that trimming! This is just brilliant; so much easier to use, no more snapped lines every few minutes and a much better result. Our lawn is edged all round with a strip of gravel so the lawn mower is kept well back from the edge to prevent catching on the stones. This means I need to use the trimmer every time the lawn is mowed to get a good finish. So although fairly light work, it is a frequent task this time of year and this trimmer is so easy to use, light weight and being cordless, manoeuvrable and easy to use. The blades make a great end result, although it has taken a wee bit of getting used to being so much more efficient than my previous one, have to be careful not to be too aggressive. Planning on replacing the lawn mower next and will be looking to get one of these and just use the same battery. So glad to have found these range of products.

Overall, it's a solid choice for regular garden maintenance, but it might not be the best for tackling tougher jobs.

What a fantastic garden tool this has turned out to be - and sensibly priced too!If, like me, you’ve been trawling through Amazon trying to find a good, ‘not too expensive’ strimmer, then look no further! I researched MANY of the rechargeable garden strimmers available on Amazon before concluding that this one from Einhell offered the best bang for my buck.Minimal assembly is required, the unit is simple to charge up, its lightweight construction makes it easy to manoeuvre and it’s a doddle to replace the blades. If you want to learn more about this excellent strimmer, I can recommend a video by Daniel on YouTube (DIY Gardening), he’s a professional gardener and provides a very good overview of this Einhell strimmer. I’ve used mine to cut back long grass on my allotment plot, I’ve also used it around the brick-edged sections of my front/rear lawns in my garden. The blades actually last longer than expected - considering that I’ve clipped them against bricks, stones and the wooden sides of raised beds. On the subject of blades, it’s worth noting that generic budget ones are readily available on Amazon - I actually tie a few spare ones on the shaft of my strimmer (see photo). I have to say that I’m very pleased with my Einhell garden strimmer and have no hesitation in recommending the product to fellow Amazon customers.

I bought this having tired of fiddling around with spool-based strimmers.Prior to this, I returned two more obviously Chinese attempts at strimmers that were around the same price but did not seem to be as powerful and were flimsy in construction - something you really can't tell until you use the device. God knows what they do with all these retruned strimmers?On my first try with this one the battery lasted about 20 minutes and I lost my first plastic blade up against a fence post. My bad. The package comes with 20 so it looks like they might last one summer before I need to buy more.It's a good quality product that has had good reviews online but you probably need to pay twice as much for something that copes with a more demanding garden and switch to corded or petrol.

Easy to assemble and fit blades(once you get the knackered) don't like that you cannot rotate the head for edging.Blades don't last long.
