Phenomenal tone and such an underrated set of strings at 2/3rd the cost of other brands!
Among the different Bass Guitars I use, I used these strings on a 5 string Jackson (passive). I've been using D'Addario on this particular bass over the years and I've never really been satisfied with the sound. So much so that I stopped using this bass for a couple of years while using my other active bass guitars. For nostalgic reasons, I cleaned up this passive bass and decided to try these stings as they cost 2/3rds the price of other strings and even if it didn't sound great, I thought I wouldn't be wasting much! For my surprise, little did I know I'd be enjoying the sound that's coming out of these strings so much! I played to a live audience today during a concert and I had several people walking up to me telling how beautiful it sounded, with a noticeable difference! Here are some of the reasons why you should consider these strings:- Very crisp steel string tone that is expected this being a Nickel Steel string set so great for slap/picks and a more funkier style of playing.- Beautiful and warm mid and lows, just balancing the crisp steel tone perfectly.- Very smooth feel even for a new set of strings.- The low B and E are 128/105 and not the usual 130/100 so the E is deep enough and the B is not throwing out frequencies below the hearing range (figuratively speaking) and it translates to a very balanced sound. The A which is 85 as opposed to the 80 in the other brand's medium light gauge also contributes to this. All in all, I definitely recommend these strings!Disclaimer: I tried this on a passive bass and I speak only based on my experience. I'd go to the extent of saying it will sound great irrespective of an active or a passive bass but do keep in mind that the kind of guitar and its electronics matter for any kind of sound that comes out!

Top quality strings
After getting bored of my old brand of strings and wanting a change I've tried several different brands and now settle on these, great tone, life and feel to them and they don't break the bank either. Top quality strings

Dean Markley Nickel Bass Strings
These strings are the originals that Dean Markley made and are just as good as the cryogenic activated strings at half the price, give them a try.

Buenas cuerdas
Buenas cuerdas made in usa, no son el calibre que suelo usar pero como estan muy baratas me decidi a probarlas.

... Strings to my Fender Jazz I was always VERY Happy. I tried a different set of Dean Markley ...
Whenever I have strung Dean Markley Strings to my Fender Jazz I was always VERY Happy. I tried a different set of Dean Markley strings. To tell you the truth I'm not happy with them at all. The gauge is great. The strings feel nice as I play. What's the problem? Since I strung these strings I have had to turn up the volume on my Fender Amp and all turn up the volume on my Fender Jazz Bass. When I have strung new strings on my bass in the past I have never had to turn the volume up. I'm thinking of changing my strings AGAIN.

Decent Strings
Upon completion of replacing my strings i noticed a slight volume drop, however i love the growl these strings deliver. Very bright and punchy with a smooth feel. I believe for the price they are a great strings..Would buy again..
