Great modern solution for my favorite childhood console
I own 4 of these and they are amazing. It is a little weird to get used to the layout since the OEM N64 controllers have such a unique layout and it feels kind of weird at first, but you get used to it eventually. Took my N64 and these controllers over to my friends house and we played Goldeneye on his 100" projector and it was a blast. We had the N64 in his electronics closet, with the door closed, 15 feet from the couch and they worked perfectly.

Absolutely the best upgrade to the N64 experience I've tried so far.
Recently bought an N64 to relive glory days in the barracks. I always hated the original N64 controller. This Controller if phenomenal. I thought maybe the placement of the analog stick was wonky at first but it just feels natural after a few moments playing. The large C buttons and tactile fell of all the buttons is perfect. After pairing the controller it is a seamless experience with no delay I can detect. I also love how the controller goes to sleep on its own after a few minutes without input. Then waking it back up is easy peazy by pushing the start button a few times. If you enjoy playing N64 games this thing is a game changer. I haven't tried to see the full range of this thing but the experience in the normal 10 - 20 foot range is very responsive. I've got a smaller Tv to much more is pushing the limits of my old eyeballs.

Works Flawlessly 🙌🏻
Finally a wireless controller for my N64 that is comfortable and has good buttons and a nice analog stick 👌🏻I have to admit though, mine came with a slightly depressed left bumper (not quite as strong of a spring back feel) as the right bumper. This is likely just a manufacturing error and doesn’t affect my experience with it at all but figured it was worth noting for the very serious enthusiasts. Input lag feels almost nonexistent to me 🙌🏻 and the shape of the controller fits my hands perfectly. All in all very happy with my purchase

This has single-handedly revived the use of my N64.
I've had my N64 since 1998. It got tons of use, and then it got put away when newer consoles came out. I recently brought it back out to play some old games with my kids, but the controllers were all worn out. I rebuilt the joystick modules on all three controllers, and they work great for multiplayer, but once you've gone wireless, it's hard to go back.I use the original wired controllers when we're all playing, but this is the only controller I use when I'm playing Star Wars: Rogue Squadron by myself. If Nintendo had it all to do over again, THIS is the controller they would have made.Absolutely amazing.

Dongle broke when removed from system
Unfortunately I had to change my review for this productThe dongle broke off inside the n64 after just the first time I removed it. For some reason it’s entirely too tight in there so breaks off easily. The wires are intact so it still works but I have to grab it from part that broke off to remove it.I’m not returning it because I desperately wanted a wireless n64 controller and the controller itself works great but this is an issue so I still removed 2 stars from my review and took away all the positive things I said about it.Also strangely enough there is one game I noticed that doesn’t recognize the controller pak in the dongle and that is fighting force 64 it thinks a rumble pak is inserted every time and that’s after trying my other controller pak as well. None of my other games do this with the controller pak so that is very strange.Like I said earlier I plan on keeping this anyway because everything else about it is great but it’s super annoying that it broke off like thatUpdateI used super glue on the part the broke and it seems to be holding up luckily none of the wires broke the times I removed it. But of course you shouldn't have to use super glue for a brand new product. This is a great controller other than that. Its a shame they can't get the dongle right some other reviewer had the same exact problem. Only other issue is that game I mentioned that thought the dongle had a rumble pak in it. I wouldn't be completely surprised if more games do this but in my testing that's the only one that did.I'm also going to get the retro bit n64 wireless controller to see if its any better it seems to have good reviews when used for n64 but not switch that one is supposed to be used for both but I just want it for n64. I still am going to keep this controller because its fine with super glue on it but this whole thing just doesn't make since though. I will update this review if I think the other is better or not. I could use 2 wireless controllers anyway for better or worse. Its so strange how its such a great quality yet they mess up with the dongle. Its not like those cheapo madcatz controllers back in the GameCube ps2 era or even worse its not like anything produced by power a from these days but that dongle thing is still a huge problem. At least I fixed it for now anywaysUpdateThe super glue is still holding up. Also I got the other controller the wireless n64 controller from retro bit. I like the retro bit one better the dongle didn't break off inside. That game I mentioned still does the same thing on retro bit with memory cards though I kinda figured it would. I also like the thumb stick better on retro bit it has the rubber grip with grippers on it. I do think this brawler controller is more comfortable to hold overall though. Also retro bit one rumbles and its a tad cheaper though not much. They are both great high quality controllers and I'm glad I have both, even though I got upset about the dongle though glue is still holding up. I went ahead and added back one more star. Apparently not most reviewers had it break off inside, much more people would have mentioned it if it did for them. So all in all its a great controller that game that does recognize the controller pack is not a game a ton of people have anyway so that won't be a problem for most.

Love it
I’ll let the points below speak for themselvesPros:+ Good material, pleasant ergonomics. Professional presentation in packaging.+ Charges with USB C, comes with the charger+ Wireless connection is strong+ Battery must be good, been playing my N64 a lot and haven’t needed to charge yet+ You literally plug the adapter in and it worksNeutral:~ Disconnects after maybe 5 minutes of being unused. Not a big deal because it reconnects in like 2 seconds and I’m sure it saves battery life.~ Durability is good, it would probably survive a kid throwing it but not an upset adult full force. This is neutral because if you’re an adult who’s that mad at Star Fox, go to therapyCons:- The pak thingy doesn’t work with the Transfer Pak for Pokemon Stadium 1 or 2. I can just plug in other controller to use it, though.
