Easy to assemble, a lot for a little
Many years ago I paid nearly this much for a simple pistol. This is far superior! Some tips on assembly as I noted some had issues. The stringer maybe a tad long, this will leave you with a struggle getting the bow string over the molded end. If this happens to you, no worries, just undo one of the knots on the stringer and retie it (with a knot that can easily be undone once pressure has been applied, think 'clove hitch with a tag end'). Next tip, look at all of the parts. There are two rubber pieces and a metal piece in the bag of screws. The rubber pads go on both sides of the bow, and the metal piece goes on top of the rubber piece for the screw to hit against. You note a divot on one side for the screw to settle in. I had the whole thing assembled and when I went to put the handle on, noticed the pads and plate (duh, forehead slap). Nicely designed, easy to assemble. Easy to use and seemingly well made. A large improvement over what I got thirty years ago!

I like it
I bought this for fun, just so I had something to target practice with. I am amazed at the accuracy, it's a good snake gun. I did see reviews about issues stringing this, and the instructions are... lacking, but they did provide the needed stringing equipment (a string that pulls back the arm enough, so it is easy to put the bow sting on). There are two tips that go on the bow arm, put these on after you mount the arm to the stock and make sure they are really tight (this is what could cause you to hurt yourself). If you can't take them off, you are probably ok (the first time i did this I did not make sure they were tight, and I did get a boo boo), make sure they are tight and oriented correctly. Other than that, I really like this thing.

Works cool
So far pretty good, have to change serving line, falling apart. Instructions very minimal, read up on crossbow use and maintenance. There is a 3d printable plan for 80 lb Cobra crossbow picatinny rail out there. Going to take it carp crossbow fishing, with iki jima bayonet. Made it from screw nail in home depot's nail aisle. Has nut that acts as safety cap. Used wooden dowel and scope rings to mount spincast reel to picatinny rail. Works good on paper target so far. There are different pistol fishing bolts out there.

Excellent little crossbow
Very worth the money! Delivered fast in great shape. Fairly easy to assemble. More powerful than I even anticipated lol. Just make sure you have a proper target to shoot at! I had to make a target upgrade after purchasing this bow because I wasn’t anticipating so much from a little bow.

Could have killed my 16 year old daughter Christmas morning!!
DANGEROUS!! So, wanted to have this ready to go for my daughter Christmas morning. First time crossbow is all she's talked about for 2 years. So, I wanted to be able to have a mother daughter moment by knowing all the ends and outs to be the one to teach her confidently . I also wanted to make sure it was working correctly and safely, and in addition know exactly how powerful it was before we set up targets to shoot. All pieces were there and everything worked smoothly as it should with ease. HOWEVER!! ON THE FIRST SHOT, THE END CAP THAT HOLDS THE STRING ON ONE END SNAPPED ON RELEASE. THE PIECE WAS A HARD POLYMER THAT BECAME A PROJECTILE THAT SHOT OUT SIDEWAYS WITH SO MUCH FORCE IT LODGED INTO THE ALUMINUM SIDING OF THE BARN NEXT TO ME!!!!!!!!!! THAT COULD HAVE BEEN MY DAUGHTER ON CHRISTMAS MORNING!!!!!! or my daughter could have killed her mother Christmas morning with the crossbow she begged me for!!!!!! Who the?? why the hell would knobs be separate pieces on the arm anyway? Why not all one piece of fabricated metal? Or at the very least a screw on metal piece? Who the heck thought it was a good idea to use freaking hard plastic as the material for the part of the crossbow that is under the most pressure???!!!!!! I am so rattled, angry, and in utter disbelief that this product is on the market!!!!! The bolt sunk into the target completely- very powerful, but not safely engineered to handle all that power!! All I can think about is how my glowing smiling daughter would have been close next to me watching closely, anxious to make her first shot that she would have never gotten to take 😢 and I would have killed my daughter with a weapon she convinced me to get that i finally agreed to after many no's because of worry!! Give my baby a gift that I end up killing her with on Christmas for my big bonding mother daughter chrimas moment??!!!!JESUS!!!! mother's and fathers, everyone beware! Even if the projectile didn't land to make a kill... permanent disfigurement and or disability at the very least to any living being beside me!!! The blunt plastic shard BENT METAL SIDING SO MUCH ON IMPACT IT STERTCH THE METAL UNTIL IT WAS COMPLETELY LODGED!! Had to use a knife to dig it out!!!! Thank God I tested it first and thank God my partner or dog was not on that side of me when I did... THE VERY FIRST SHOT!

Super fun and addicting
Bought a similar crossbow pistol many years ago and started shooting again. Well the bow actually broke apart in pieces so I ordered this crossbow. This thing is so fun to shoot. I have it set up in my shop with a home made foam target board. This def feels like an 80 pd draw. It shoots fast and straight with even cheap plastic bolts. I can stand 45 feet away and hit my 10” target every time. My only complaint is the design of the front handle. It should stick straight down and not horizontal. Makes cocking it a little awkward but it’s doable. My 1st gun didn’t have the self cocking feature so this is a nice upgrade. The sights work very good. I think I’m gonna add a green dot laser to it for easier sighting. I did have an issue with the string but returned the bow with no questions asked and got a replacement. I would def recommend this crossbow. It’ll give you many hours of fun for you and the whole family.

Wasted potential
This pistol crossbow could have been one of the best on the market, but sadly it failed where it really needed to excell at. Pros. The iron sight is decent, almost as good as the horizon red back's. It comes with rails for foregrip attachments and optics. The cocking system has rubber on the tip to protect the string unlike other cheap pistol crossbow. Most impressive is the adjustable buttstock. The buttstock can extend up to a foot from the iron sight. This makes the crossbow so easy to cock that I wanted the bow limbs to be more powerful. Cons. The cocking lock in the back is made of plastic. Mine broke after shooting about 150 bolts. The locking mechanism for the string is cheap. Nothing is holding the bow string back except friction when you cock it back. Once my string was worn down a little and there was bow wax on the string, I was no longer able to reliably cock the string back. The string would just slip out of place and dry fire. The little improvement they added on this pistol crossbow, make it much better than 90% of pistol crossbow on the market. It fails to compete with the horizon red back or tomcat because of the cheap cocking system and non existing lock and trigger system. So in short buy this pistol crossbow if you want a fairly cheap PC and with some of the bells and whistles. Don't expect this item to last long or to shoot alot of bolts without breaking down in some way. If you have the money just buy a horizon red back.
