🎸 Titebond Genuine Hide Glue is a ready-to-use liquid hide glue that eliminates the need for mixing or heating, making it straightforward to work with. One of its biggest advantages for me is its long open time, which allows for careful positioning and readjustment before the glue sets. This feature makes it particularly suitable for delicate or precise woodworking tasks where alignment is crucial. It also has good creep resistance, meaning the bond remains stable over time, and it sands well without affecting finishes. The ability to remove it with moisture is an essential feature for restoration work, ensuring that joints can be taken apart if necessary in the future. 🪑 I used this glue to reattach a pickguard to an old guitar, where the wooden surface was uneven due to age. The ability to reposition the piece before the glue set was a key factor in choosing this product. I applied the glue to both surfaces and positioned the pickguard under a clamping caul, then applied pressure with clamps. Any squeeze-out was carefully removed with a damp kitchen towel, though care is needed not to over-wet the glue. After a few hours, I released the clamps to clean any further squeezed-out glue with a wooden tool. By this stage, the glue had thickened but remained workable. I then reapplied the clamps and left the bond to set for 12 hours, repeating the process as the glue continued to creep slightly. Finally, I left it clamped overnight, and by the next day, the bond was firm and secure. 🚪 The key benefit for me is that the glue is not permanent, so if the pickguard ever needs to be reworked, it can be softened and removed without damaging the instrument. This makes it an excellent choice for luthier tasks where future adjustments may be required. It is more expensive than standard wood glues, but for this type of work, there is no real alternative. The convenience of having it pre-mixed and ready to use justifies the cost, and as with other Titebond products, the resealable cap is well-designed—though I always add a layer of cling film for extra protection against drying out. I regularly use Titebond glues and trust the brand for reliable performance. ✔️

Not working , may be due to high humidity. Most of Indian places are high humid . Later I checked in tight bond website , they said it works in less than 60% humidity . I think it is not suitable for Indian climate.
