These hinges are solid as in no slop, quality machining. I have no problem using these on heirloom quality projects. I wish there were other sizes nad hardware.

I haven't yet installed the hinges. I'm building a couple of dovetail-joint medicine cabinets, just one door each, so the four hinges will be all I need. I've built several small hinged projects - knick-knack boxes, small butsudans (Buddhist altars), and the like. Used cheap, stamped brass hinges from central European shops. Couldn't afford the really high-quality U.S. made hinges. But I was tired of the poor tolerances in the cheap hinges, where the pins fit loosely, allowing the box tops to close awry, and doors to sag. I checked out the smallest Brusso hinges, but a single pair, with shipping and tax, is about $63 (so $125 for four). That's out of my reach. These hinges, with free Prime shipping, were only $14.15, almost 90% less, and the thickness and quality of the leaves and knuckles is very close to the Brusso hinges, from what I can tell. Are they as good. No. The pins aren't as tight, so there is just a bit of wiggle in two of the four hinges. The other two, for some reason, are tighter tolerance, and there is no discernable looseness or slop. I'll use the two tighter hinges for the top hinge on each cabinet, use the ones with a tiny bit of slop for the lower ones. I believe the doors will hang straight, with zero sag, forever. I noticed a few one-star reviews, with complaints about: (a) no screws included; (b) plain, bright finish of hinges , rather than the advertised brushed finish; and (c) screw heads not matching the countersink angles bored into the hinges. None of these proved true for the hinges I received. I got 25 screws (one extra), the finish on the leaves is a nice, lightly brushed sheen, and the screws drop into the countersinks and fit fine (not protruding). The brass is heavy, a full 2 mm. Like all butt hinges, they can be mounted in either of two ways: (a) mortised into the "interior" faces of the frame and door, so that only the knuckle shows when closed; or (b) fastened to the exterior of the frame and door, so that the full hinge leaves are shown when the door is closed. I normally go for the (a) look, but these hinges are so beautiful that I'm going to mount them to be seen. Another nice thing about that approach is that I don't even need to mortise them at all, if I don't choose to. I'm good enough with a marking knife and a hand router plane to be able to get a nice tight-fit mortise, but I think the thick brass leaves will stand out nicely. These are not hinges you'll want to hide.

Good hinges. They’re not tight and cheap feeling. The screws are cheap and can snap, so pre drill as needed.

They look very nice and the quality is very good for the price. They are uniform and the leaves align nice and square. The rounded corners present a challenge when mortising but fortunately they match exactly the diameter on my hinge mortise bit. It would be a challenge to get a nice fit if creating the mortise with a knife and chisel. I had to set them in just a tad because the leaves do not quite rest flat. I think they look great on the shaker chest I built.

These hinges are absolutely beautiful. I was pleasantly surprised when I saw them. Very neatly packed in individual foam pouches (4 hinges). Screws are nice too. I was looking for some nice hinges for a Pokemon deck box and these were the perfect size, good price and they look really good. I initially bought different hinges (20) for the same price and they were just too cheap, very thin and inaccurate, had to return them. I spent an hour or so looking for something sturdy and thick when I found these. I feel they will last forever.
