Travelon Anti-Theft Heritage Backpack

When I initially received the bag, one of the D-clips was broken off of the side. The company had a replacement to my door in 2 days, so bravo for the customer service. Aside from that one defect, this bag is very sturdy, zips smoothly, and is comfortable to wear. It is on the heavy side of backpacks, but that's no surprise, since there's metal mesh in the fabric, and I don't consider that a detractor anyway. There is adequate storage for traveling as well, as I can fit a portfolio, 2 computers, both my work and personal phones, a water bottle, portable charger, basic office supplies, camera, and a few other knickknacks in the bag no problem. It also fits as a carry on or personal item on most airlines, so big plus there. Pros: Sturdy, comfortable, looks great, good zippers, plenty of storage space Cons: gets you a funny look from TSA when it goes through a baggage scanner All in all, I highly recommend.

This is the best backpack I have ever owned. It’s my everyday work bag and travel essential. The zipper pull clip feature is such a nice touch. It has all the pockets and compartments I need plus the straps are comfortable.

Used it to travel to Sedona,Arizona. Pretty roomy for my iPad, purse, snacks etc on the airplane. Fit great under the seat. Bought it for a European trip this year. Didn’t need the security details on it for this domestic trip.it looks great, it was pricey, but you can tell that it is a high quality product. Really styling too.. love it. Will use it for traveling only… May use it on a trip to Canada…

This was a great travel backpack. We felt very secure using it in Barcelona. I have it 4 stars because the hoop for locking the main compartment zipper is next to the water bottle pouch, and it makes it very difficult to clip it if you have a water bottle in the pouch. You have to remove the bottle to clip it easily. It could easily be moved to the other side of the zip, since there is only space for one water bottle. An easy fix. Other than that It’s an amazing backpack and looks nice. You can’t really wash it because there is suede on the bottom, but it doesn’t look messy after two weeks of travel.

The pack is very sturdy, holds a bunch of stuff for travel or camping, looks great, does not stain when wet. The locks do not require a key, but can take a few seconds to open. Because of the way the locks work, a thief can't open them while you are wearing the pack, but you can easily open it. This is the best pack that I have ever owned and is not too expensive. I have found other packs for over $400 that weren't this great.

I travel a lot, and this is my go-to backpack. It’s practical, well-designed, and holds up great no matter where I take it. I’ve used it for trips, work, and everyday errands. One of my favorite features is that the zippers lock, which makes me feel much more comfortable and secure when traveling. It’s also durable, easy to pack, and the adjustable straps are sturdy and comfortable—even when it’s fully loaded. If you need a reliable, all-purpose backpack, this one is a solid choice.

I really wanted to love this backpack because I love Travelon bags. Unfortunately, after two weeks on the road with it, I don't. It is very durable and roomy. There are several pockets. However, it is heavy because of the durable fabric maybe. The pockets/sections are deep and the smaller ones are small, which makes it easy to lose things in the bottom. The zippers are heavy duty metal which make them difficult to open and shut. I may try putting some lubricant on them to see if it makes it easier to zip them. The straps are comfortable but very difficult to tighten or loosen when on my back due to the fabric used. Overall, I wouldn't purchase again.

This backpack is adorable. I also love how all the zippers have the lobster claw closure so you can feel a lot safer knowing it's not going to get opened by a stranger without you feeling it. I can't imagine someone can open the closure quickly and gently enough that you wouldn't feel it. Hubby is a big sweaty guy and felt the backpack was a tad hot and sweaty on his back for our trip to India, where it was very hot, but I can't imagine this wouldn't be an issue with almost any other backpack. But the back part is not super breathable so just keep that in mind if that's really important to you. Also the backpack is a little heavier than a typical backpack of that size, so keep in mind if you have very strict weight limits, you will not be able to fit as much extra weight in this as you might in a lighter backpack. But nevertheless, this is a great day pack for the average day wandering around and exploring the streets.
