Source WXP 3L bladder with Storm Valve

Title says it all! The top of the bladder opens like a "dry bag" for thorough cleaning, the quick connect hose to bag coupling is awesome, and the valve is nice because there is a twist-lock shut off and small dust cap with cord. I've tried Camelbak, Platypus, and other bag systems and this is the best so far! My only caveat is in sub-freezing temps the twist-lock valve freezes quickly even when the water tube has been purged. I haven't found any valve or system that doesn't do this. A well thought out & engineered product, rugged materials, this bag can take abuse!

This is exactly as advertised, folks, but do be aware of the fact that this is basically New Old Stock, and that the currently available accessories from Source Tactical don't fit it. I ordered a new drinking tube from Source Tactical to upgrade this bladder to the current configuration, and be able to make use of the UTA filling device. The new tube does not fit on the old quick-connect on the bladder. I'm currently working with Source Tactical for a solution, but I feel like there should have been some notice on here about this issue before buying it.

I bought this item in used condition. After cleaning this has been working perfectly. I knew that it probably would be the older style when I ordered and it was, no surprises there. For anyone that doesn't know, there are slight differences between the surplus bladders and the current commercials ones, The differences are as follows: The hose attachment at the bladder on the surplus one is on a small tube coming off the bladder, while the current ones have the quick release right at the bladder. The other significant difference is in the hose and drinking valve. On the surplus ones, the valve is permanently attached to the nose, there is no quick release. Also the fabric covering the tube does not cover the whole tube and is loose at the end of the tube attaching to the bladder. If you do want to change the bit valve or use the quick fill adapter you can simply plug in a different hose into the bladder, the fittings are compatible. This is exactly what I did since I had a spare source drinking tube and helix valve laying around.

but this made sense since i only had the carrier and needed a complete bladder. i like the open top design that allows full cleaning and disinfecting of the interior of the bladder while still being able to fold over and seal it off when done.

Great product! If you just want to carry water without gear OR want to stuff this in a larger pack it works great for both. The bladder works well when you cant clean it out every day and I haven't had any problems to date. So far I have used it 30 or so times.

This Bladder is awesome! I have used numerous other styles and this one is by far the best I have used. The 90 degree valve is great no stupid bite valve here. Also you can open the top of the bladder and either use it to fill it fast or to reach in and wipe it clean. This is a much more thought out design. Would buy again.

A great product. Have recommended this water bladder to numerous people and do the same here. Easy to fill and maintain. Bite valve works well and the cover keeps it clean. Highly recommended.
