The rail functions as intended. this item to replace the rail that originally came with my small rig tripod, I had misplaced. The packaging was intact and the delivery was exceptionally fast, as is customary. I actually bought two to keep one as backup in the zipper compartment of my bag to avoid encountering the same issue in the future. The metal used to manufacture both the rail and the screws is well constructed, feels good in the hand, and operates as intended. I highly recommend this rail to anyone using a tripod or gimbal that requires this attachment.

Wish it came with an extra 1/4 screw so itll attach to my smallrig cage

The SmallRig 5" quick release plate allows a much wider range of adjustment than the stock plate that comes with the DJI RS 4. I wanted to mount a Sony FDR-AX53 videocamera, which has a mounting point near the front end and a large battery in the back. When mounting a camera on the RS 4, it is essential to balance it with respect to the axes of the gimbal. With the stock plate, it isn't possible to balance the FDR-AX53 on the RS 4, but the SmallRig plate allows plenty of room for adjustment for balancing that camera.

I built an "All-In-One YouTube Studio" on a light stand. Part of that setup includes an Elgato Prompter (lens mounted). I decided to support the camera and lens with a SmallRig support system. I purchased a very small light meter for a vintage film camera and use this plate with a flash adapter to secure the meter to the camera when hiking.

I was concerned this would not fit but it appears to be a perfect fit! Now I have one for all of my cameras
