got flysky fs-i6 to work well on windows 10 pro and usb 3.0
product worked awesome. i like many others bought the damn fs-i6 cause it was cheap and well reviewed. i was immediately met with failure to connect and joysticks cant calibrate. wasted time messing with drivers. heres how i got it to work. you dont need smartproplus. that program sucks on new computers so unless u got windows 95 i wouldnt use it. directions: install betaflight newest (i think its got some necessary drivers (may not be needed)) put fs-i6 in student mode (menu option on transmitter) plug it in with simulator cable search "set up usb game controllers" in start menu and click it you should see "PPM" as a device click it and calibrate In lift off u gotta calibrate again boom done works with usb 3.0 on windows 10 and its steaaady im telling you. i tried smartpropoplus and the best i could do was the most glitchy crazy unsteady movement and then it ended up not working. after setting it up the above way ive been using liftoff and its amazing. finally works. i was about to give up. have hope fellow noob hobbiests!

works with FS-i6 and FS-i6X
This is the real FMS Simulator cable, from FlySky. I'm using it with an FS-i6X and FS-i6 transmitter (I own one of each and tested both of them), plugged into a 2022 M2 MacBook Air. There's a cool free macOS app called Joystick Monitor that will let you see the controller axes moving and functioning, so you can test it before spending money on a Flight Simulator (or RC flight simulator). Not as clean as a wireless dongle but cheaper and it works. This lets you use your real RC transmitter as a flight stick for flight sims. Really useful for using it with R/C sims, so you can practice R/C flying with your actual transmitter.

Works on mac OSX catalina with Flysky FS-i6 and both X-Plane 11, and DRL on STEAM
I am on a mac and this appears in Sim's as "PPM" on my OSX Catlina machine... I have used this with DRL (Drone Racing League Simulator) on Steam both before and after doing the 10ch firmware upgrade (using a different cable, this one does not download firmware) This USB dongle also works with X-Plane 11... (kinda cool flying Serenity from Firefly using my RC-Transmitter) BUT in all the simulators I have tried, it only connects 4 channels... so I can use both sticks, but none of the switches and knobs are recognized. this is not a "returnable-offense" in my book, but I would really like to use at least 2-4 more channels. (reset/restart switches for DRL, and flaps/landing-gear switches in X-plane) if anyone knows how to enable more PPM channels please post.

Noisy, Unreliable
After plugging in the cable to Flysky i6 transmitter and starting flight simulator software moving the radio or the cable caused the software to go crazy. Totally erratic and unreliable. Do not waste your money. Spectrum SLT6 radio transmitter works perfectly with the same flight simulator!

Great for flight sim - NOT for firmware upgrade
FLIGHT SIMULATOR CABLE - This works great for using the FS-i6 as a flight sim controller. It shows up in windows as a game controller and doesn't need any extra drivers or setup. If you are looking for to upgrade the firmware you will need a different cable. Look for Flysky Data Cable. It's confusing because it looks nearly identical to this cable.

Worked perfectly
I have a Turnigy i6 (rebranded flysky). This thing worked perfectly with Windows 10. No driver installs, just plug and play. Put your controller in student mode. I have had zero stuttering issues, it just works. Glad I took the chance on it.

I took a chance and it works.
In the description it does not mention my controller, FlySky FS-i6X, and in the questions section, I believe, the seller said it will not work with my model. But, since I could not find a cable designated to work with the i6X unit, I took the chance and ordered it. Been using it every day now for a week with Clearview simulator, and it seems to work just fine. Occasionally, I have a problem with not being able to control Clearview, but I think this is because you have to go through the startup procedure in a certain order, else things get confused. I have learned, turn on the radio and maneuver through settings (flip your switches for throttle kill, dual rates, etc.), THEN, run Clearview. If your i6X is not on first, you will not be able to control the simulator. Anyway, I just wanted to let others know, in case you have an i6X, go ahead and order this. It does work. At least so far. Makes using the simulator so much more fun with a proper controller.
