Meguiar's G55048 Ultimate Car Care Kit

Good product gave me good results

I’ve always used Meguiars products and they have always worked well for me. This is a solid kit that does the job well. Everything is good quality, and the products last for a long time.

This is a great kit, and a pretty good value considering everything included. I absolutely love the Ultimate Wax. Long lasting, looks great, easy to apply and easy to buff off. One odd thing I've noted when using it, though. Unlike other waxes, it doesn't look it's best when first applied. When I first used it, I was disappointed a bit after I finished applying. I've never been able to come up with a good word to describe it. It's just not as rich and deep as some other waxes. However, the next day it looked way better. I've read it takes several hours to "cure". The car wash is good stuff as well. It has wax in it and, while it won't substitute for a real coat of wax, does seem to extend the life of the ultimate Wax so I can go longer between coats. The Back to Black is also good, but has to be redone fairly often (at least on my wife's Civic Si). The towels, applicators, and mitt are better than average quality, but don't measure up to the top shelf stuff. Like other's have said, it would be nice if a clay bar were included. The one disappointment in the Ultimate line for me has been the Protectant. It has the nice flat "new car look" I like in an interior protectant and doesn't leave everything looking shiny and feeling greasy. However, it leaves surfaces slightly "tacky" feeling and it smells bad. I've found einszett Cockpit Premium is much better. No tacky feel, smells better, lasts longer, and a little bit goes a long way so the bottle lasts longer. It's more expensive, but I think it's actually cheaper in the long run since I can go longer between uses and can get 6-8 times as many detailing out of a bottle when compared to the traditional protectants.

Best product out there by far! Meguiar’s products have been keeping my cars awesome since I started using them many years ago! The smell, the performance, and ease of use makes this a perfect product for those going to shows, or just the weekly meet up with friends; it makes your ride stand out! Glass finish every time, just make sure to read the product information before use for best results! Great product and thank you guys for what you do, my ride appreciates it!

I purchased this kit for my husband as a Christmas present. He was delighted with the great selection of products to spiff up his 2000 TransAm/Firebird. The quality of Meguiar's is excellent, and they provided all the polishes, bug and tar removers, washing and cleaning products necessary for a thorough restoration job, as well as the buffers, wipers and wash mitts necessary to complete the job. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone who is a do-it-yourselfer when cleaning and preserving that 'special' car!
