These silicon spatulas work perfectly for a number of reasons:- Use them as a spatula when cooking. The silicon tolerates very high heat and does not break down into harmful chemicals. The flexibility also help you scrape every last bit of food out of your pan.- Gentle on non-stick cookware- Perfect for baking- After use, stick them in your dishwasher. You can't do this with wooden spatulas.- All silicon exterior means you won't get any nastiness seeping through the seams.The only downside is if you every have food stuck to the pan, the silicon is not stiff enough to scrape the food off. But with proper pan management (seasoning / preheating your pan and oil) this scenario is totally avoidable.

Great sturdy item

These spoons/spatulas are great as they work well as spoons but also allow me to clean out the bowl/pot properly - this reduces food waste and also makes washing up much easier!!
