Good product easy to install and economical

I’ve installed ceiling lights before, but the 4-inch LED ceiling lights from Insignia are truly in a league of their own! The ability to control the lumens—from a crisp, bright white to a warm yellow glow—is nothing short of magical. This customization makes them perfect for any mood or time of day. Not only are these lights easy on my eyes, but they’ve also completely transformed my living space. The brightness makes my home feel more spacious and inviting. So easy to install! I’m low on the DIY scale and I had no issues running wire and installing a lot of these. I replaced an old nasty drop ceiling with the beautiful Ceilum pvc tiles and these dropped into the holes I cut using the template with zero error! I particularly like the 5 settings for light intensity/color. So far so good after 6 months, so hoping they last a long, long time.

Great value for the amount you get and the brightness. Great way to add plenty of light to a room in a seamless, modern, and budget friendly way. These look just as good and bright as the ones I've used in other rooms from big box stores. Love the color temperature options, though the warmest setting is slightly colder than old incandescent cans in the same room, but it's hardly noticeable, and the incandescent replaced with LED's would probably be closer in color temp. Springs have plenty of force. Had no issues with gasket causing any issues. Cutout size wasn't a size of hole saw (4.25in diameter) I had, but template provided and drywall saw worked fine. The plug from the junction box to the LED has arrows that line up. It has a notch on the female side of the plug that doesn't have a matching notch on the male plug that may be able to be inserted incorrectly if you're not paying attention to the arrows. I'll update about longevity if any issues arise.

These lights really are an absolute game changer. I have bought 48 of these lights to use throughout my house. I have installed them in our kitchen, bedrooms, hallways, and our laundry room. I am absolutely impressed with the quality of the light and the ease of installation. My house was built in the mid 1990's and all the original light fixtures needed to be replaced. I was able to do my entire kitchen and two hallways in just a few hours. This included drilling through studs and adding new wires. I had zero issues installing the lights and they made a literal night and day difference. We get nothing but compliments on these lights. You do not have to have a lot of experience with AC or construction to install these yourself. These lights will not disappoint and will likely cause you to want to upgrade all of the lighting in your house with these.

These lights are exactly what we were looking for. We purchased the 2700k soft white and they are plenty bright. We replaced our halogens with these and they are far brighter than our old ones. They were a snap to install. They look great. They came well packaged and on time. We are very, very happy with these lights!

These pot lights are amazing. They are fairly easy to install and very bright. They are also dimmable. We installed them in our basement after having 30 year old pot lights and are extremely happy with the brightness and the look.

Très simple d’installation

We were finishing our basement as a DIY project, and wanted pot lights in a suspended (drop) ceiling. I cringed at the thought of installing a dozen or more standard pot lights with the bulky pots that were necessary in years past. Then I found this product. I decided to take a chance on them, as the reviews were generally positive. Well! With the very first unit I installed, I was won over by this great product. The ceiling I installed left only 3" to the main floor joists, but these lights and the boxes that come with them are slim enough that fitting them into the ceiling tiles and sliding the tiles into place was no problem at all. We installed nine lights into an area 15' by 22' and the illumination of the room is perfect. No harsh shadows, and the ability to change light colour give you more options. The only down side is that the switch for changing colour is on the box which you set into the ceiling, and there is no remote control of this feature. The lights are dimmable, so make sure you install a dimmer switch to go along with them. The product promises a 5-year, no questions warranty, but I doubt whether we will have any trouble with them. If we do, I will update this review. For a basement reno, these are perfect. I highly recommend them. The only thing I would be critical of is the connection box, which is quite small and a bit on the flimsy side. I daisy-chained a series of these lights together, and having two 14/2 conductors and the 18-gauge wire that is included with the box makes things very crowded. Impossible to use any sort of clamp to secure the wires as they enter the box, so this is questionable as to whether it meets code. I would gladly pay a few dollars more to get a more robust box.

Only dislike I had as I watched was the Amazon delivery guy threw my package on front steps, box was damaged. Lights are bright and I found them fairly easy to install, just time consuming. Spent all day pre wiring and installing 15 of them. Tested lights out as I installed them to see the change in how they light up my basement area. I originally doubted how many lights I used in my one area that is roughly 13ft x 17ft, must of did at least 4 revisions to my drawings. 15 lights does a great job of lighting my first completed area in the basement and I can always add a dimmer at a later date if needed. I'll add 2 more for over the computer desk later, and they will be switched on a seperate line. Fairly happy with this purchase and will be ordering and using more in the week ahead.
