Can I use this without installing the driver? Downloading a random file from an unknown google drive is super weird.

It will not work without the virtual driver. Yes, you need to download it, and while it seems weird, 👽 it seems to be safe. I've been using it for several months.

How come I can’t change screen resolution? Need the monitor to work 1920x whatever

In the display setting, you can change the screen resolution. To support 1920*1080, make sure your USB port is 3.0.

Same here. It’s junk. I bought another one elsewhere and it works fine. Plus, there was no driver that needed to be installed.

No. Not to set up a second extra monitor. I tried over and over again. Following their directions. Installing the software, installing, In fact, I have two as I hoped to set up my spouses Mac as well. I’ll send you one free and see if you can get it to work.

Worked first time!

I have 2 off large screens on my PC but wanted a smaller one for my Outlook. Having run out of DisplayPorts this was the perfect solution. Worked straight out of the box with no issues at all.

Good does the job

Works well Flon my Mac. However .exe download on windows causes problem as it is exe file which need to be downloaded as a driver for USB to VGA port.

Shows the display but quality not great - does not support blue light filter either

Bought this based on the reviews, downloaded the driver and then connected the cable. Whilst i'm using USB 3.0 (and therefore able to get 1920 x 1080 resolution) the edges of various text/logos are somewhat blurred. In addition, it doesnt seem to be sending the blue light filter/nightlight (Windows) to the monitor - this works with a standard VGA cable.As a result of not wishing to strain my eyes, I will ask the seller for a refund.
