Tough and comfortable
Why did you pick this product vs others?:I had an older pair of Durangos. When I had my motorcycle accident a few years ago they held up remarkably well. I was more scuffed up than my Durangos were. I still have them but wanted another pair to rotate for my upcoming road trip. Great boots, great price and great look.

I’ve been looking for these boots for 2 years! They’re perfect!
I bought these for my Dad. He has been wearing boots like this for 50+ years. The stiffness is great. True to size. Wearability, he wears them everyday, all day! These boots usually last for about 20+ years. It’s worth the price to see his face light up with happiness!

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS BOOT!!!
I have only worn this boot for a couple of days. But so far it has exceeded my wildest expectations for comfort, quality, fit, and -- best of all -- for it's rugged, masculine look!!! I especially love the low-gloss,oil-tanned leather that makes it look like a rugged work boot or motorcycle boot -- but still nice looking enough to get by on slightly dressier (but still informal) occasions. The dull finish of the oil-tanned leather looks like it will probably be somewhat water-resistant and weather-resistant -- although I haven't yet had a chance to test it in wet weather. I was astonished at how easily the boot slips on and off without a bootjack, even though it (mercifully) doesn't have a zipper. And the extra cushioning in the sole makes it unusually comfortable when walking. When you first remove it from the shipping box, it just looks like real quality workmanship. And it has that wonderful leather smell that seems to telegraph really good leather.

These are great fashion boots not construction or even engineering boots
Im on a lifelong search for the perfect boot. These are not them but they are pretty good nonetheless.Fit:Im a size 11 with a medium width foot but with any boot that narrows at the toe I have learned to go a half size up but not wider. Don’t go wider because your foot “swims” around in the boot.Fit wise these 11.5 D are very close to perfect. I will say they are slightly tight on the sides just behind the toes at the widest part of my foot but not so tight as to cause pain. Given the narrow toe area I do think at least a half size up is needed.Construction:Top notch construction. The sole and heel are good quality rubber with a nice tread on the sole. The rubber of the heel is just a hair under one inch thick and solidly nailed into what appears to be a composite heel. The upper is decent quality leather well stitched to the sole. Its soft and very supple and I expect it will hold up to normal use and “break in” very nicely. Now lets be clear these are fashion boots. Not true engineer or construction boots. The leather is soft and comfortable. They look great and feel great. However if you drop a hammer on your foot while wearing these its going to hurt a lot. If you drop something really heavy you are going to have broken bones or even lose a toe. Get a pair of steel toe heavy duty work boots if you need protection. For looking good on the bike or just walking around town these are the ticket.Five Stars for a good looking boot that is well made and very comfortable.

Bought 9s, would like to exchange for an 8 or 8 1/2.
Really like these boots. I got a pair of 9's, same as my other 4 pair of western boots. But, unfortunately these run about an inch longer. Would like to exchange if possible.

THREE’S A CHARM
Ordered two other highly rated harness boots in black from Amazon, and ended up returning both. Main issue with both pairs was that opening at the calve was too large. Although both boots fit my feet fine (13D), there was no real grip on the calves, and I have fairly large legs after 35 years of construction work. Finally decided to throw out a little extra money for these Durango‘s and couldn’t be happier! They feel perfect and don’t want to slip off my feet. Also, don’t bunch up under the bottom of my Levi’s 501 and 505 jeans the way the other two did. Love the fact that these don’t have a lugged sole, and have more of a western appearance, yet still have a great grippy tread for puttering on the Harley scooter.Additionally, the leather on these Durango‘s had the best oiled finish with a smooth satin appearance. The other ones were dull and a bit gritty. These boots look bad ass and classy at the same time. Work well for both a cowboy and biker. Couldn’t be happier with this purchase. – Durango is my brand for all future harness boots. I am going to be purchasing the distressed brown ones soon.

Disappointingly thin, lightweight, and soft.
I purchased a pair of Durango harness boots in 2005, and loved them. The leather was heavy and stiff, but once broken in fit my feet like a glove. The leather was oiled and waterproof from the factory (I.e., shiny, glossy). The upper portion of the boot was stiff. That was 20 years ago. Those old boots need quite a bit of work, so I thought I’d order a new pair. The new pair arrived today, and I was floored at what came out of the box. Buttery soft, lightweight, FLOPPY boots with a suede finish that surely isn’t waterproof. The upper portion of the boot is so narrow I barely got one on, and couldn’t get the other on. my foot simply wouldn’t slide down into it. The floppiness of the ultra soft leather didn’t help in this department.I’ve worn one of these new boots for 20 seconds and the other hasn’t been worn. They’re being returned. Today.
