This isn't rice powder! I purchased it thinking it would be rice powder, since that's how it's advertised, but it's not. Here are the ingredients, as stated on the box:* Aluminium Carbonate* Calcium CarbonateNEITHER Of these ingredients have anything to do with rice or rice powder.If you're looking for actual powder made from rice, this is not it. Do not be fooled by the title of this product.I'd return this if it had not been so inexpensive in the first place. Instead, I'm throwing it away.

Very light sheer cover good for natural look

Oily/shiny skin disappears with just a firm dab of the product using a powder brush. As a result, my liquid foundation is set and stays put all day long. No smearing.

Nice powder removes shine without buildup but does not provide any coverage. Good for velvety finish but if you have very oily skin you may need more.

texture is a little different than expected (not as fine as I imagined), but it would work great for those who just want it on bare skin or light coverage makeup. The applicator is a joke, but could be used as a travel type brush.

If you are looking for a light matte powder that's made from natural ingredients this is for you. It comes formed into a square cake. You'll need to put it in a container as the box it comes in is cardboard. The cake will last you a long time, a year maybe! I learned about this from my Malaysian friends. Excellent!

I had been buying this powder from Shop MissA for $1.. so I was very disappointed that they stopped carrying it. I'm happy to see I can still get it on Amazon, though I have to pay $6 more. I will pay the $6 more though, because this powder is worth at least $10 if not more. I like it more than any other pressed powders I have. I use every day to set my under-eye and face. It does not crease, and it's so light it's really invisible, yet it does mattify and set makeup. I do occasionally have to use a little additional powder in the t-zone, but that's fine with me.

It's getting difficult for me to find plain ol' white rice powder, so I was glad to find this product on Amazon. I have bought similar rice powder from Palladio, and I didn't see any difference between the two.I am very fair, so it's hard for me to find a colored powder that doesn't make me look like I'm wearing a slightly tanned mask. A makeup artist recommend rice powder to me about 12 years ago, and I've been using it ever since. It gives a natural look for light-skinned people (just don't put a ton on or you'll look like a geisha), and it doesn't cause breakouts.This product comes with a little brush, but I don't recommend that for application. I bought a couple reusable powder puffs that I wash by hand as needed. Also note that the package is cardboard, so you might want to consider getting a little container for the cake of powder. When traveling, make sure you pack cotton around the inside edges of the container to prevent breakage.This cake of powder lasts a long time, so you might not need to come back to Amazon to buy it for a year, maybe two!

I love it, the product arrived promptly packed in the yellow box, inside was a little brush, which is really tiny, to apply rice powder onto the face when finishing off your makeup. It was very hard to find Irene Gari Marutake Rice Powder so I'm thrilled! Because it was in the UK, I thought it would be 2 weeks minimum to have it delivered. Well I had it in 5 days! This is the BEST finishing powder ever and with no chemicals or talc. It was sold in the The Vermont Country Store catalog for hard to find things, but they dropped it several years ago. The powder is light and bonds with your make-up so your good to go in a 8 hour day. I have used it for 20 years so thanks so much for prompt delivery and hard to find powder!

I have used this since highschool when one of my friends handed me a box and swore I'd love it. 29 years later, I still use it. It's colorless once you blend it on with a brush or puff. It hides pores and little imperfections very well. It hides age somewhat due to its softening effect. It's grear as a fine setting powder over other makeup lIke bareminerals or loreal truematch liquid. It's matte and helps keep the shine away. Sometimes I just use a little moisturizer and brush the Marutake powder on top.I keep extra boxes just incase I can't find it. It's been the best and most consistant makeup product I've ever used. Love it!

Although this is called Rice Powder, the ingredient are Aluminium Carbonate and Calcium Carbonate. I was expecting the ingredients to say just 'rice' :|It may work ok, but it's a little off putting. And gets a bad score for lying - real ingredients should figure in product details in the listing.

AVOID THIS PRODUCT - health warning - it is aluminium carbonate, a toxic salt, not ground up rice!!! Unbelievable!!!
