Stays cool and DARK
LOVE LOVE LOVE this tent!! I solo camp, and it's very easy for me to set up and take down myself. Definitely stays cooler, can take a nap middle of day, dark and cool. I have had this tent for 2 years with extensive use, almost every other weekend from April to October!! A little wear is evident; put a patch on the floor where center piece folds into floor, some blackout wearing off, looks like holes, but pretty sure it's just the black out coating. All zippers still work. I have taken care of my tent though, tarp on ground, thin rug and blanket inside floor to protect from cot legs and dog nails. I added sticky velcro to windows to keep drafts at minimum, since windows only zip up the sides, which leaves top unsecured (this could be improved). I also add a thin fleece blanket under rain cover to help keep warm in colder weather/altitude for insulation, which helps! I think tent is colder because it doesn't warm up in sun, but that's okay with me. NOT a downside, just a note, that even in middle of day, if tent is all zipped up, you'll need a light to find anything or change clothes, it is that dark. Can stand inside tent, and I'm 5'7". When it's time to replace, I plan on getting this same tent!!

Fantastic tent
I really wasn’t expecting much. I had never heard of this brand and I’m very skeptical of most tent brands other than top names. I was VERY impressed with this. I was able to fit a large Queen air mattress and had room for a twin next to it. It won’t leave much room for gear but it’s doable. Perfect size for myself and my two young boys. A young family would be fine. Anyone with older children may want to look for a larger tent. This is only a true 6 person if you don’t use air mattresses and sleep right on top of each other. Pros: - super fast setup. I’m an avid camper and I’ve been handling tent setup alone for over 20 years. I had this tent up in less than 10 minutes on my own and that was taking my sweet time. - fabric seems very durable and thick. - lots of storage cubbies - built in shoe mat is fantastic - blackout is about 90% effective. Sunrise was 6am and I was barley able to see light when I woke up around the rain fly ceiling (where mesh top is) and around the base. Still… I had zero issues sleeping in and would have no problems with an afternoon nap. I actually had to look at my phone to see what time it was because I thought it may have still been dark out. Blackout does make it difficult to find things during the day if the windows are up, so invest in a nice tent light/fan. - nice rain fly/guy lines. - it seems to cut down on heat a little bit during the hottest parts of the day. Cons: - tent poles are somewhat tough to extend and click in. The longevity of these is a concern for me. - putting the tent away is a nightmare. It’s very long and cumbersome. Once the poles are folded inward, it’s very difficult to get it tightly wrapped so that it goes back into the bag - bag quality sucks. I don’t see this bag lasting more than a year or two. - I have concerns about the “easy up” design. Because of the way it folds up, I’m worried that it will prematurely wear away at parts of the floor where it folds in on itself or stretches around poles.

GREAT Tent!
LOVE this tent. Super easy to set up and take down. Very durable. The Blackout feature is actually BLACKOUT. Love that it has windows on all 4 sides. Also love the tarp, mat attached on the door side.

NOT a black out tent
This seems to be a good quality tent and I like it. But I'm knocking off one star for darkness...or lack thereof. First the good. I left it set up all summer on our piece of land on the lake Michigan shoreline in Norwood, Michigan. It held up to high winds and torrential rains while staying 100% dry! The material feels like good quality and none of the zippers ever stuck or got jammed with the fabric. The windows, when unzipped, allow for plenty of ventilation. The rain fly covers well and never leaked a single drop. I'm 6'3" and it just fits me. I use a cot so, being elevated like that, my feet and head are closer to the walls. So, when the wind blows, the fabric can flap against my head. My fix for this was to use a fairly heavy tarp clamp to guy out that portion of the wall. I can almost stand upright but not quite. With the gear loft installed I'd be hunched over, so I don't use it. But I use this tent alone so there's plenty of floor space for any gear I have. This is described as a six person tent...lol...maybe for small children or very close friends who wouldn't mind 6-person spooning. My only issue with this tent is that it's not as dark as I'd hoped. In the first place it has a bathtub bottom so it includes the bottom six inches of the walls. The material is not blacked out there so in the daylight there is a "gray glow" all the way around the bottom six inches of all four walls. It's not bad or terribly bothersome, but it helps make the tent less than dark. The other issue is that the rainfall, being a separate piece, does not fit tight to the roof of the tent. This means light leakage. It's not horrible but I had hoped for a tent in which you couldn't distinguish between night and day. With this one you can easily tell. Anyway, at least it's dark enough I can sleep in without being kept awake by the brightness of daylight so I appreciate that. But be forewarned that if you want total darkness, this one won't provide that. It's a good, weatherproof, dark tent and I like it. I'd just like it better if it was darker since that's why I bought it. I should also mention that I find it pretty easy to set up alone. It takes maybe 4 or 5 minutes without adding the rain fly. Add another three or four minutes for that. Another reason for deducting a star is that it really is tricky to get everything back in the storage bag. I've camped for several decades and am pretty good at tightly rolling sleeping bags and mattress pads, but this tent gave me trouble. My solution was to use the bag from a bag chair (since I typically don't use them for the chair that comes in it) and bag the rain fly separately. It's a good tent and I recommend it, but don't expect total darkness.

Solid tent. I have only erected it in my backyard and left it up for a few days. I am 150cm tall and easily managed to put it up and down twice by myself. 10-15 minutes to erect fully by myself. It is huge. It fits back in its bag without any squeezing. Dismantling 10-15 minutes. So far I’m impressed. Have not yet tested it in rain or strong winds but feel confident so far.
