Why is this more expensive than a 13 oz. ?

I really don't know. I just like this size, so I ordered it without even noticing the price. Sorry that I couldn't be of more help. Sometimes, though, "economy sizes" are cheaper(?)

Does this leave an oily residue?

Thanks for reaching out - our Vaseline Petroleum Jelly Pure 3.75 Jar should not leave a heavy oily residue behind! When used accordingly it should soak in and moisture.

Does this come with a seal?

There is no seal on the jar of Vaseline Petroleum jelly I buy. I never worry about it because if it was touched in any way it would leave a mark on the jelly.
