Good choice for kitchen countertop compost container.
Compost container is a good size, looks good on my counter and there is no compost smell.

Great size for the kitchen.
We had a .75 gallon compost collector for the kitchen before, but it was too small. This one 1.5 gallon, is just the right size to be able to collect more compostables, yet no so much at a time that it starts to smell up the kitchen. This can has an insert which I found unnecessary, so just paired this with the right size compostable bags, and it works great. The only reason not giving it a five is that the pail is sort of "tinny." But that's not a problem when using a compostable bag.

Nice quality
Similar to the size of a paint can. It’s a good size for the counter top and you can easily scrape scraps from your plate in to the pale. It met my expectations and it’s adorable

Only holds 3 quarts
This holds approx 3 quarts, not 1.2 gallons. The inner plastic bucket is much smaller than the decorative can.
