It looks like it was pre-owned as you can see in the pic the wrapping they put it in was too small and may have crushed it and pulled the pen seal off. Also, it doesn't look like the pic of the product. Maybe an older version. It's cute. The pictures to color are about 3 1/2 in. tall. A little small for a three year old.

Not the classic Thomas as advertised
The photo on this product shows the classic Thomas but what I received is the new cartoonish Thomas which we are not a fan of. See photo. Such a disappointment and likely will return.
