Appears to work fine - I ended up buying this unnecessarily when it turned out the problem wasn't my battery, but the mother board. But Dell support said it was the battery until I proved them wrong by buying a replacement. Anyhow, this one seems to work fine, but I can't give 5-star since when I used it, I noticed it did drain faster than the original. But it is enough less expensive that it's worth it (especially since it turns out I didn't need it!)

So I purchased this battery new 8/7/2017 for my dell laptop E5440. To keep this review short and sweet: It worked for about 16 months. I've noticed over the past 2 weeks that when the battery gets down to around 35%, it will just die and turn off. So, roughly 16 months was the lifespan of this battery pack for me. For $35-ish dollars, I would say that's average or a little less than. The Dell OEM batteries would last me around 3 years of constant use before needing a replacement so I was hoping to get about 2 years out of this one (we can all hope!). So now I need to buy another one. Will I buy the same brand? I don't know....

My Dell Latitude would not work without being plugged in. Battery said it was at 59%. I decided to purchase this Siker battery and it has been a great replacement. I am no longer restricted to the cord. My laptop still works as it shoul in the docking station.

It's always iffy purchasing components that aren't OEM. This battery is an exception. The battery didn't look or feel cheaply made. It fit perfectly into an old Dell Latitude E5540 I repurposed. It charged with no issue and retains its charge well. It's what I would expect to find in an OEM part without paying the OEM price. I recommend it.

What's with these batteries? They're extremely hard to install compared to the OEM. I tried the Bull brand battery. It was hard to install so I got this brand because I saw all those reports "fits great", "easy to install". I assume those are probably fake reviews.Once installed it seems to be working ok. However, with as much tension as it took to put in, and I assume there's still tension on part of the battery/computer, I am a little afraid it might break something. I don't like it but I've gotten two different brands now and I currently don't want to buy an OEM battery.

direct replacement for failed dell e5540 battery. is recognized by the laptop and works as expected so far.

I have had this battery for my Dell Latitude for 3 months now.- it lasts 4-5 hours per charge which is longer than the OE- the "low battery" indicator in my computer only shows up at around 23% remaining. It doesn't come on at 10% like the OEM, so I don't know when exactly it will die.
