You get what you pay for
Yes you can get a set of 100 different sized drill bits for £5, but the reason you get so many is because they wear down, snap or break in some other way. These drill bits are a great set, they are quality, and they have lasted with no signs of wear - even the masonry bits look like new. When I do need to replace them (and they wont last for ever ever), I will get more of the same - it's cheaper in the long run...

Drills are great, the case not so much!
I've been wary of buying "Sets" of drills even from quality manufacturers such as Makita as it always seems that the quality of drill and screwdriver bits in sets is far lower than the quality of their power tools.I went for this set as most of the reviews were positive. So far, I've used a selection of the bits I various materials and they seem to be perfectly fine for my needs. the case though is not so good. It looks impressive but the rows of drills stick when the lid is opened and the two rows of holders have become distorted as a result of having to apply some force to fully open the box. It does however provide good protection for them.My only gripe is that there isn't a set of 3mm drills as this size is frequently useful for pilot holes.

Is it normal for drill bits to rust?
I'm new to drilling so I genuinely don't know the answer to that - but when I washed the debris out of these after using and left to dry, they rusted pretty badly. But they did the jobs I needed them for - drilling through plaster board, into breeze block and concrete. although for the harder materials, I would strongly advise starting off with the smallest drill bits then working your way up through the increasing sizes until you drill the size you actually need. Otherwise you're in for a wild ride if you've got a hammer drill!I personally could've done with some 3mm bits too but I only realised this after purchase etc. That's not a criticism of the product, but a warning to people who might be doing similar jobs(putting wooden curtain rods up in my case). If it weren't for the rusting, I'd have given these a 5 as they worked, didn't break and seem like good value by today's hyper inflationary standards.

Purchased this set a while back, time to recommend!
After a fair few holes, using a few of the different bit types (wood/metal/brick)... all the bits are still nice and sharp and straight. No wobbles in the dewalt drill, and they all chew through their material with ease and speed (I know, not a Makita drill, but I prefer the extra umph in my cordless drills, dewalt tends to always win in raw cordless power).A great price for a great set of well-made bits.

Great bits, not so great case!
Needed a good selection of sturdy drill bits and after doing umpteen review readings went with these... the quality of the drill bits are right up there, there's a good, solid selection of bits for a good range of uses. The only (slight) disappointment is with the case they come in, it's a metal clam case with badly made holdings inside for each bit, the larger bits slip down and jam up the case so you have to keep taking the bits out (which are sharp!) and rearrange them so they do shut... ended up having to bend the 'feet' of the hinges inside with pliers to make them do what they're supposed to, but it's not great especially on buying something new from a decent brand. That said, I can live without a case so long as the drill bits power through whatever material they're put through, and so far I've no complaints on that front.
